My friend and I were looking for a chilled break away somewhere with spa facilities. Torremirna was excellent value for money, just rural enough to feel like you were up in the mountains but not so rural that it took and age to get there (we travelled by public transport from Gerona airport and found it very easy), fantastic waiters, lovely food (although perhaps the menu was slightly limited) and beautiful views. The only downside is that the spa is not technically on site...its a five minute (uphill) walk and is more like a leisure centre than a spa. Despite this, the treatments we had were good and the staff were very accommodating. We ended up spending most days at the hotel pool(which we had to ourselves for the most part) and just relaxed. THe view from the restuarant if you sit on the terrace is amazing and the sun sets right over the golf course. If you are just looking for a nice break with no stresses and not much to do except perhaps read a book then I cannot reccommend this place enough.

The hotel is located 8 km from Figueres and is addressed mainly to golfers. As the object is pretty small and situated in the middle of the 18-holes course, you feel rather familiar between few groups of golfers. The rooms are quite small, slightly dated, but meeting all functions, they should have for short holidays. The outdoor swimming pool is situated in the garden, from the back side of the main wing. There is also possibility to use the indoor pool and SPA complex, but it is 10 Min walking from the hotel.The strong point is hotel restaurant, serving really good local dishes and wines. The weakness of the staff is, that they do not speak English. Apart of it, they are ok. Summarizing, I can recommend this place for golfers, but not especially for the common tourist, because the offer for non-golfers is rather poor.
