This was a lovely hotel. Great staff, very clean and simple rooms. Note: this hotel is a little outside of the main town - it was an easy 10 minute to walk into town. We thought it was nice because we got to explore the neighborhood and stay in a more residential area.

We stayed here for one night en route to Madrid from Bordeaux and it was such a dleightful experience that we booked to stay on the way back as well. I little difficult to find (the GPS coordinates do not seem to work with our TomTom) but worth it. A comfortable room, quiet and well equipped. The restaurant is excellent as is the buffet breakfast. During our stay there was a happy hour with free wine and snacks. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the hotel is only a short walk from the old town centre and not far from the new centre.

Hotel Jaizkibel was great.  It was extremely well kept, offered a great breakfast and had very helpful staff.  The room (and bathroom specifically) were a good size and a pleasure to relax in.  There is also a roof deck that is very inviting.  My girlfriend and I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.  

A modern boutique hotel, with special appeal to business people but also to holiday makers, tucked away in a residential district. So being away from the main centre (10 minutes walk) it was extremely peaceful at night. The staff were keen to please without being obsequious, refreshingly enthusiastic about their jobs, and very efficient. The hotel restaurant was the best of the five we visited. These others were also very good; such is the Basque culinary tradition. It was also had the most imaginative yet most reasonably priced food and wine. Ideally suited to those who like personal service and a gentler pace of life.
