I was really excited about staying at the hotel because it looked very nice in pictures, but when I got there it turned out to be the worst hotelstay of my life!

Everything started during check-in. There had been reserved rooms for everyone in our party, and confirmed by the hotel over e-mail and phone. But when we came they suddenly didn't have rooms for any of us. Instead they gave us some old cots to share. The cots themselves we're very old and dusty, and far from the comfort level of the rooms inside the hotel. They reminded me of the cots you find at RV-parks (norwegian campingplass). My cot had not been cleaned when I came, and I found garbage and cigarette buds. Although the hotel has free internet, the cots were out of range. The beds were hard as nails, and all the dust from the old sofas and beds made my allergies go crazy and made me feel very sick the entire time. The beds were also very short and hard. The beds were only about 1.80 meters long, so most grown people will not fit! Not that the beds matter, because there was so much noise outside it was hard to fall asleep.

When we first got the cots they told us that we would get rooms the following day, but when we came to the reception they didn't really care and told us there were no rooms for us today. We were told we had been downgraded because we were not important enough, even though we were with a big government company. Other hotels upgrade you when they overbook, but we were downgraded. We were not the only people that were downgraded, the other I talked to were there on holiday. While in the cots we got keys that did not give us access to tanning beds, gym room and pool, even though complimentary access is included in the price.

They had luxury condos and houses on the property that were empty, but still placed us in these old cots.

After talking to them about ten times they decided to give us the rooms we had reserved for the last night. But they gave us regular check-out/check-in times, so we had to go four hours without rooms.

The food at breakfast and lunch went up and down. Some tasted fine, but especially the eggs at breakfast seemed to be made of plastic and completly unedible. Sometimes the bread was also dry. Dinner was good, but not exceptional. Some of the dinner staff were very nice, but the staff and breakfast and lunch we're not very plesant.

The waiters and housekeeping people were very nice, but no one in charge were overly nice even though they downgraded us. We never got apologies for the downgrade, and they even wanted us to pay the same as if we had stayed in the regular rooms (which is not exactly cheap). The hotel itself is nice, so it's sad they won't exactly let you stay inside the hotel! I will NEVER go back!
