We stayed at Engø for 1 night, and went for the package that includes gourmet dinner and breakfast. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, the staff is exceptionally friendly, and we loved the pool with excellent view of the gardens. The food was incredible, and this is indeed one of the best places to eat in Norway. Hopefully we'll be able to go there at least once a year in the future.

We were delighted with our dinner and overnight stay here. Excellent food (apart from excessively salted bacon at breakfast!). Definitely one of the best restaurants in Norway. Room was very spacious, comfortable, attractively decorated, and quiet, featuring all sorts of amenities and high-quality construction. Especially luxurious bathroom. Fresh flowers, good chocolates and mineral water, three types of glasses for the minibar, lighted candle on the private patio table awaiting our return from dinner. Comfortable beds. Attentive and friendly yet unobtrusive service. They even brought blankets to those who chose to take their after-dinner coffee and sweets in the garden. Relaxed, tranquil, welcoming ambience. Nice landscaping.
Contrary to the TripAdvisor heading, Engo Gard is NOT in Oslo, but in Tjome, which is a 90-minute drive southwest of Oslo.

Hotel rooms are located in several small houses on this idyllic property by the sea. My room was very spacious with a large and wonderful bathroom and comfortable furniture. The food was excellent, as was the atmosphere and the service. Can be higly rcommended for a short break or business meetings.
