“Wonderful Villa Anna Maria, beautiful San Sano and excellent support.”

Our stay was fabulous, the beds were king size! (in three of the bedrooms) and comfortable. The kitchen was great. There were 7 or 8 of us and we never felt crowded. The photographs on the internet did not do it justice. San Sano is picture perfect, small, quaint, and friendly. The restaurant across the street from our villa was very good and reasonably priced and very accommodating. The little attached grocery store was a bonus, for breakfast items, etc. Annie the property manager is great, she took care of all our questions and requests in a very prompt manner. Thank you Annie!! We would suggest the San Francesco parking if going into Siena, the escalators there make the trip into the walled city easy.

“An authentic Tuscan villa in an atmospheric village set deep in the Tuscan countryside; perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2010

We visited the Tuscan region in January 2010 and stayed in the villa Casa Isabella in San Sano. To Tuscany was exceptionally helpful from the time of booking to the time of arrival with someone in San Sano to assist us upon arrival. The villa was perfect for a family of four travelling with young children. We found it to be very clean and equipped with all the essentials - including a washing machine / dryer. And, although we were travelling in the middle of Winter, we found the villa to be very well heated. San Sano is a very quaint village set deep in the Tuscan country side, it has a small grocery store and a restaurant, but is close to Radda for shopping and dining out and is well positioned for travel to all of the major centres, including Florence, Pisa, Sienna etc. Being the middle of Winter we had the entire village to ourselves - it was pure magic!

“real tuscany, old and genuine but comfartable , relaxing and vibrant at the same time,”

Visited Italy at least 50 times in the past 50 years, always visiting beautiful Italian cities but never experienced real Tuscany until this trip . It was slow and relaxing but vibrant and interesting at the same time....it was Italy full of colour, breath-taking sceneries... very old and genuine but comfortable and pleasant .San Sano is the epicentre of it all and wouldn't go any where else. ...we are repeating the experience this year again.... chosen to celebrate my sixtieth birthday at San Sano and over the summer 60 of our closest friends and relatives will join us there for a continuous celebration , full of fun ,Italian music, genuine Italian food and real Chianti

“Excellent Choice - can't wait to go back some day”

Stayed at LaScuderia on of the rentals in this sleepy hamlet in Sep 09. Like other reviews I have to say it more than met our expectations. The restaurant in the hamlet is expensive and so is the shop so do your shopping in Gaoile or Radda - both about 15 mins drive. Lecchi is a similar small village near by - we did a cooking class with Simone in the local restauant - highly recommeded.
The accomodation itself was perfect - but no air conditioning so bear this in mind if travelling in mid summer. There is a fan which did a good job.
If you find yourself watching TV then they have Sky Italy - you can change the langauge to English on alot of progammes. The lcoation is fab - nice pool and gardens set amongst the vineyards. Siena is just a 30 min spin away and the roads are great.
We were here on honeymoon and would definitely return with family and friends again.

“A great holiday in a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 July 2009

We stayed in the small village of San Sano. It is truly lovely with panoramic views in a quiet and relaxing environment. We stayed in La Scuderia one of the rented villas with use of the shared pool. The villa was excellent. The only down side was the sporadic water pressure which meant getting ready took some time in the mornings.
There is a local shop and restaurant and unsurprisingly these are slightly expense but very handy when you run out of essentials. We found it cheaper to buy our groceries The best place to source your own food ifs from the Coop in Radda in Chianti a 20 minute drive away.
Eating breakfast outside, what an experience!! Now l understand why the locals are always smiling.
This location worked really well for us as we were able to relax but also visit some of the many local towns. You’ll love driving those slow but rewarding mountain roads.
Everyone in our family had their wishes met on this holiday. This is a great location for a relaxing family holiday.
In summary, for once l actually got the holiday l had imagined beforehand. I have no hesitation in recommending this location. It was a wonderful experience and we definitely will be back!!!!
