““A beautiful countryside views, amazing hosts and a perfect holiday!””

My girlfriend and I stayed at Castello di Pastine last week. A perfect experience! We were welcomed by Guido after a long drive. Guido answered every question we had about our sightseeing trip into Siena and our plan for biking.
He gave us maps and advice for the rest of the days suggesting the right place to see. His maps were better than our GPS on my iPhone!
We were led to the mansarda, beautifully decorated in warm Tuscan colors. The view from the terrace was simply amazing!

After we settled in, Guido told us of a little deli nearby to get some food that we asked about. The dinner at "Il Paese dei Campanelli" was wonderful. We had appetizers, a delicious bistecca and we got a special Chianti wine. We could have stayed there forever.

The next day we experienced our first breakfast in the kitchen, It was lovely! After that the first bike ride: such a wonderful experience. Only few cars and a special sightseeing to Certaldo.

Val d'Elsa is our lovely place to stay and seeing the beautiful Tuscan hills just outside our terrace or from the wonderful garden would have sufficed, but these people, Guido and his family, greatly exceeded our expectations.

I've been several times in Toscana, and this is the only place I'II warmly recommend!

“Amazingly Relaxing”

This was exactly the place that we had been looking for- the standard of accommodation was high and the facilities were excellent- swimming pool, tennis court, playground for our three year old. Guido and his family were welcoming and very helpful and honest in informing us about the local restaurants. And the location was excellent- we were able to do short day trips to Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra and Florence.

“Excellent, perfect for a quiet break away from it all.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2010

Cannot fault the complex or our hosts. Wonderful pool and poolside area. Not far from the tourist sites which we all go for. Rooms comfortable a good size and well furnished. Perfect for those wanting peace and quiet, but not having to far to drive. The views around the area are stunning - Tuscany in all its glory!

“Great Place to Stay for visiting Florence and Siena”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2010

My family (2 kids, 4 and 2 years) and I went to stay at Castello Di Pastine for a week at the start of September. It is in a very private setting of 140 acres of woodland. The owner, Guido, is extremely welcoming and friendly. For someone who is not familiar with Tuscany and who wants to be in a comfortable, secure, well thought-out place where English is spoken, then you can not do better than this. It has a great swimming pool, a small but good quality playground for children and a tennis court. We rented apartment 3C, a two bedroomed apartment, with good bathroom, and downstairs living/dining/kitchen. Everything was well presented, and very tidy and clean. Each apartment has a table on a panoramic terrace for dining outside, and the views are beautiful.
My family had a very relaxing time there,
I would have no hesitation staying there again.
There are loads of small towns nearby, with good restaurants, and a couple of supermarkets approx. 15 mins drive. A car is necessary, but if you are in Tuscany, it is almost a given that you need a car, unless you spend your time in Florence. Both Florence and Siena are less than an hour away. Monteriggioni, Certaldo and San Gimignano are also lovely places to visit.
