We (me and my 2 daughters one a University student and the other in secondary school) travelled to Sicily end of May/June 2011 just out of season. It was a wonderful holiday from beginning to end. From the moment we landed at the airport passed through checks and picked up our baggage, we was met by a friendly hotel staff who helped with our luggage and transferred us to our hotel. It was about a 20 - 30 min drive from Palamo airport to the hotel with beautiful scenery the entire journey and the driver was friendly and spoke with remarkable English, although he continued to say he did not speak 'good English' gave us a lot of information about Sicily and the area we were staying in - which was excellent!!!

When we arrived at the airport and after we checked in with the great reception staff, we were given a tour of the hotel, restaurants, facilities (inc. Pool, Outside Bar, volleyball area and our hotel's private Beach and our room which was sea view (however our view was blocked and we could of been placed in a better room) and we could see an odd angle of the swimming
pool.

Breakfast was excellent!!! Food was very good but limited choices!

Tours were arranged - I recommend Ciro Tours (reception will help you book him)

The Beach (stone throw away) was great, uncrowded and clean and the walks along the seafront were beautiful and the panoramic views were fantastic!!!!

Weather was fantastic, beautiful sunrise and sunsets!!!

The only thing that made it slightly awkward was the lack of public transport to be able to explore on your own, the local train station was about a 30 min walk away and in the blazing sun and no shade it was unbearable and to get to Palamo city to the shopping area it was a 2 hour and more journey by train!!! Met another English family on the train who were exploring Sicily on public transport and met a young lady who originally came from England but has now settled in Sicily!!!

And you know they say you can't have everything....well that's not entirely true with fantastically efficient and pleasant staff such as Nancy, Alex, Mariangela, Francesco, Pietro, Salvatore, Rosario, those at the hotel outside bar, the driver, the head waiter, waiters/waitresses, housekeeping staff etc, can't remember all the names.. You almost CAN have everything because they totally tried to help in what ever way they could - their English was fantastic and their understanding of English, unless using unconventional English words was great and as I said they done their utmost to ensure we were happy, even before we actually arrived in Sicily and we totally were!!!!

Can't wait to book my next holiday there, as will most definitely go back, with a larger group consisting of husbands, boyfriends, girlfriends and children!!!

Excellent - we loved it!!! Totally recommend it, if I haven't said it already!!!!!
