We enjoyed our stay at this lovely property outside of Macerata. It's a hotel, several restaurants (including Michelin-starred Enoteca) and a working farm.
The buildings are old but comfortable. Our room was spacious, with a double (queen?) bed in the main part of the room, and a single bed (not a cot) for our daughter in the entry area to the room. The linens were luxurious. The bathroom was sizeable, but plenty of room for toiletries, and the shower was also a good size. Our room was on the ground floor, and quiet. The only down-side to the room was that it didn't really have a view from the window - it overlooked the roof of the swimming pool.
There was a sitting area in the building, which we didn't use, as the weather was nice enough that each evening, we could take a bottle of wine that we'd bought in Macerata, and sit outside to have drinks. It was a gorgeous and peaceful place to do that. And the hotel/farm cat, an outdoor cat only, kept us company!
The breakfast was plentiful, and made with many farm products. The breakfast room, like in many facilities, was in the basement - maybe in warmer weather people can also breakfast outside.
The staff was pleasant and helpful.
There is a lovely pool on the basement level of the hotel that houses the hotel (the two restaurants are in separate buildings). It's indoor, but has large windows overlooking the countryside. The pool was used heavily each evening, however (and possibly during the day, but we were always out and about during the day) by swimming lessons. We were still able to swim if we wanted, but amongst the kids taking lessons.
While the facility is also a farm, and you could go see the animals, they were all kept out of view of hotel and restaurant guests. Near the front of the property, near some picnic tables, are some ruins - maybe Roman?
While we went into the nearby town of Macerata several times, it didn't feel like a particularly friendly city to stay overnight in, or to deal with parking in. So even though we usually prefer to stay within a town or city, we were very glad we made the decision in this location to stay at Le Case.
