Myself and five mates flew over from Scottland arrived at 2am ! The bar was open and we were greeted by the manager who waited up for us. What a lad !! Had drinks straight away, served by legendary bar staff !! (they hawt !!).
Went up to the rooms-nice,cool and spacious-just what we wanted. Even had a seaview balcony. Mates were staying at other places with pool but we definetely prefered ours as the pools are only a short walk away (less than a minute). The main strip is also a couple of minutes away as well.
Honest good people-will be back!!! Sitting in an internet cafe next door,couldn't wait to rave about this place.
A real find!

This was our second time for me and my girlfriend there and it was the same fantastic as the first one.
The owner and the staff of the hotel could not get any more friendly and helpful.I know many people they come in Malia Studios again and again because they enjoy staying there.
If you are a group of friends or young couples then this hotel is one of the best you can get in Malia.Its location is perfect (3 min walk to the main strip,2 min to the beach) and quite enough to get a nice sleep at night.
"Malia Studios" are lovely apartments (basic but enough spacious and clean rooms with very well equipped kitchens and bathrooms) and the atmosphere of its bar could not be any better.
We are sure that whenever we visit Crete we will stay there and I recommend it without doubt.
If you are really interested in visiting Malia read this and NOT the other reviews.

My husband and I spent 4 miserable nights here trying to sleep on a conrete slab with a wafer thin mattress posing as a single bed! There was no wardrobe space - not one single drawer - smelly bathroom - not a kettle in sight - minimal kitchen equipment - of which the "cooker" (two small electric rings) balanced perilously next to the sink!!!! As there was NO Reception area or staff available to inform - we decided we could no longer stay and had to evacuate to another location at our own expense - which turned out to be the best money we could have spent and saved our holiday!
Thank goodness for our day trips out - as the rest of the island was wonderful!
I would NOT recommend Malia Studios.

We have been to Malia studios Apartments Hotel September last year - and we intend to go back as soon as we possibly can.
We were very lucky to find Malia studios,after much searching on the web and advice from friends who have been to the area. It was much better than we expected. Bedrooms,Livingrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable, with a very nice decoration and the hotel at all was very clean. The staff was very friendly and always ready to help. The sandy beach is amazing just one minute walking and the strip center of Malia 4-5 minutes walking away of the hotel.The Owner Emmanuel was so welcoming, pleasant, and helpful. Dimitris and Daniella are absolutely wonderful in the Gardenbar and Anna keeps everything extremely clean, could not have done any more for you.
I woud recommend Malia studios Apartments to anyone who wants really nice holidays.
