A friend and I stayed here at the start of Sept '07. If im honest before we went I read all the reviews on here and thought 'yeah right, bet all the people who wrote these were boring...' but then I arrived in this HOLE. We arrived by a joyriding coach driver in the early hours of a saturday morning,to find it in between two bars, above another, and a young british girl being sick outside our hotel. We checked in (the manager was really nice, so fair play) and then got taken up to our room-if you can call it that. Two extremely small twin beds, pushed so close my friend hit me in the face with her hand in the night twice, The bathroom had a shower tray in the floor but no curtain or holder to put the shower on. The floor got so flooded i slipped over twice and got a massive bruise on my arm. The room was so hot my friend actually passed out, leaving us no choice but to hire out a fan for 30E from the reception and sleep with the door open. The breakfast consisted of Melba toast, butter, jam, bread rolls and cereals-quite frankly not worth getting up with a hangover for!! On the upside, the pool in the hotel was ace-really deep and warm and there were always loads of sunbeds to choose from. My friend and I planned to go out every night to the strip and was glad of it being close, but as mentioned in previous reviews the constant bartering by the PRs gets tiresome. I actually got picked up by some strange man and carried into his bar whilst his colleagues held my friend back when I refused to come inside which was a bit frightening. On the upside, the First choice reps were amazingly fantastic and did everything in their power to make sure we had fun-the booze cruise and pub crawls were amazing. There was nobody over the age of 25 in this hotel the week we stayed-for example, when we checked in, there was 18 boys and just my friend and I who were girls. Then the bar man in our hotel had the AUDACITY to ask how many people I had slept with out in Malia and then look suprised when I said none, thankyou very much. Quite frankly, I was pleased to see the back of this place and needless to say I wont be travelling anywhere remotely near Malia again.
