If you're planning a stay in this part of France this hotel / restaurant is a perfect place to stay. If you're looking for luxury then the expensive Hotel Schoebeque opposite is probably more for you. If you're looking for a lovely french hotel with a really warm welcome, great food and big rooms that overlook the town square then Le Foch should most definitely be your choice (we stayed in Room 1). So much so that I debated posting a review just in case lots of people decide to book and I couldn't get in next time I wanted to stay! We travel a lot in France and this hotel is typical of what makes that experience so great - little gems in every village.
The chef is the owner along with his wife Nathalie who looks after you from the minute you arrive.
We wanted to attend the 8pm ceremony at the Menin Gate (30mins away) so we asked to have dinner at 9pm - this was no problem and when we were 10 minutes late there was no problem and no rushing us through our meal - a meal that was perfect, simple and beautifully cooked.
Half board was 103 euros for the two of us - fantastic value that didn't mean skimping on quality.
We're definitely going back and taking friends and family with us!
