Le Couvent is a beautiful peaceful place and Lizzie and Ali are warm, hospitable and kind. I would strongly recommend it. What a shame that is their last season otherwise I woud definitely be planning a return visit

We only stayed two nights with Lizzie and Ali at Le Couvent in Roujan, but wished it could have been longer. Le Couvent is such a wonderful, relaxing and pretty place to stay and Lizzie and Ali are such welcoming hosts. What more can you ask for? Bedrooms and bathrooms well equipped, garden lovely, pool is great, breakfasts are stonkingly good and plentiful. Also good places for evening meals in the vicinity.

Like many other reviewers we cannot praise more highly the owners' hospitality and also the beauty, peace and tranquillity of the place itself. The rooms are light, airy and comfortable and the pool simply lovely. Breakfast is a communal affair and all the better for it, allowing us to get to know the owners and the other guests. Evening aperitifs for new guests (and existing ones) with the owners is a delightful touch. Ali & Lizzie are genuinely warm and welcoming and really want to get to know their guests as well as ensure that their guests are enjoying their stay; if you want to be left alone then this is not the place for you.

Le Couvent is fabulous value for money and an experience we would love to repeat but given that Ali & Lizzie hope to sell soon, unfortunately one that we won't be able to.

Our only gripe is that the village itself has little to offer and to go out for dinner usually involves a drive, but given the quality of the restaurants recommended by the owners, we didn't mind too much.

Guests have extolled the virtues of Le Couvent and Ali and Lizzie. Is this place too good to be true? Le Couvent and Ali and Lizzie are almost too good to be true. Having worked in hospitality and travelled extensively we have rarely found such a winning combination. All we can say to add to other comments is that we had this feeling of coming home (even tho we had never been there) and didn't want to leave. Every afternoon we returned we wanted to open the door and just yell 'hi mum we're home!' You deserve the highest award as hosts and for providing a hidden jewel in Le Couvent. We will meet again!
