Like many other reviewers we cannot praise more highly the owners' hospitality and also the beauty, peace and tranquillity of the place itself. The rooms are light, airy and comfortable and the pool simply lovely. Breakfast is a communal affair and all the better for it, allowing us to get to know the owners and the other guests. Evening aperitifs for new guests (and existing ones) with the owners is a delightful touch. Ali & Lizzie are genuinely warm and welcoming and really want to get to know their guests as well as ensure that their guests are enjoying their stay; if you want to be left alone then this is not the place for you.

Le Couvent is fabulous value for money and an experience we would love to repeat but given that Ali & Lizzie hope to sell soon, unfortunately one that we won't be able to.

Our only gripe is that the village itself has little to offer and to go out for dinner usually involves a drive, but given the quality of the restaurants recommended by the owners, we didn't mind too much.

Guests have extolled the virtues of Le Couvent and Ali and Lizzie. Is this place too good to be true? Le Couvent and Ali and Lizzie are almost too good to be true. Having worked in hospitality and travelled extensively we have rarely found such a winning combination. All we can say to add to other comments is that we had this feeling of coming home (even tho we had never been there) and didn't want to leave. Every afternoon we returned we wanted to open the door and just yell 'hi mum we're home!' You deserve the highest award as hosts and for providing a hidden jewel in Le Couvent. We will meet again!

This was our 3rd visit and it was every bit as good as we'd remembered.
Great location, beautiful house and gardens, relaxed atmosphere, friendly guests and lovely hosts.

You've got until the end of September to experience what makes Le Couvent "the best B & B in the Languedoc" before Lizzie and Ali close for the season and forever. If you can still manage to get a reservation...GO!

We spent four nights at Le Couvent and were sorry to leave. From the warm greeting at the gate to the hugs when we left, the whole experience was a joy. Lizzie and Ali have created a haven of peace, filled with all the comforts one could need for a relaxing break. Lovely decor, comfortable bed, great bathroom, fab breakfasts and a blissfully chlorine-free pool... Add to this the unexpected delight of congenial company and making new friends and you have a truly winning formula. If only all hosts could take a leaf out of this book!
