First of all, I don't think I've ever met a more welcoming, entertaining host.
Secondly, Alfie ( B&B pooch) is adorable.
Third, the accomodations are comfy yet classy, spacious yet private, and an amazing value for your money.
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here. The breakfasts were a great start to our day, which were busy with lots of sightseeing options. Caux and the surrounding area offers a wide variety of activities...something to please everyone.

I spent a long time trying to find a Bed and Breakfast that suited everyone in the family and close to a pretty town and not far to drive to the coast. We were not dissapointed when we arrived at The stone House to a warm welcome from Mark and Michael.
We booked two double rooms with en-suites. The rooms were well presented and very clean. Our two boys aged 10 and 8 found comics by their pillows and had lots of fun with the resident dog, Alfie.
We woke up to a delicious breakfast served on the patio. Warm croissants of every description and homemade jam. Yoghurts and fresh fruit. Our hosts were very generous.
Nothing was too much trouble. Mark and Michael have great knowledge of the area and we were given plenty of maps and information.
We felt like we had been truly spoilt and made new friends.

In a nice little town in the heart of the languedoc, minutes driving away from villages with superb restaurants, in the middle of vineyards and with splendid beaches just under an hour away and with the opportunity to go walkingin for hours without meeting a soul.
There, in Caux, is The Stone House. Run by Michael and Mark. Their enthusiasm about this area, their hospitality, helpfulness with finding nice places to go and their cosy chatting away while your having your, well prepared, extensive breakfast gives you an utter feeling of welcome. It is a real recommendation when you are looking for a well run, clean and very friendly place to stay.

The hosts of The Stone House are very personable and were very helpful with sites to see in the area and where to eat. In fact a restaurant they recommended was so good we went back a second time. If you like dogs they have a great dog named Alfie who livens up the B&B. The breakfast was very good and was served outside on their terrace. We would definitely stay there again the next time we travel to that area of France.
