We stayed at the Vigniamont 5 years ago when there were different owners and had a wonderful time. Coming back to France this time we decided to try it again under the new owners, Phillipe and Babette. We were not disappointed. The hotel is a little hard to find as the streets in Pezenas are a little confusing, but once you are there you feel like you are home. Babette is such a warm, gracious and helpful host. The hotel is on 3 levels - only stairs. She gladly helped us with our bags. However, if you can't do stairs, then request one of the two rooms on the ground level. They are not as large, but they are very homey and comfortable. There is one suite on the main level and two suites on the top level. We stayed in the Vigniamont suite which is large and roomy. The only thing I didn't like about it was that the outside folliage has really grown in the last 5 years and totally blocks out the sunlight in the bedroom and one of the sitting room windows. I spoke to Babette about it and she said that she had already called the man to cut it back, but it would take a little while as he apparently had to get permission from the city to get his equipment on the street.

Babette serves a lovely breakfast each morning - large variety - many home made things. At 7 each evening guests are welcome in the main room for wine and appetizers. It is a great way to meet the other guests. Wifi was free in the room. Parking can be a bit tricky, but there are several places across the street and some lots nearby. The location of the hotel is excellent - just behind the main street of Pezenas. There are many good restaurants close by.

Pezenas is a great town to stay in France. The city is filled with antique shops and the market day is wonderful. It is a friendly town and a great jumping off place to explore some of the other cities close by at a reasonable price. We are looking forward to returning.

We spent five nights at the hotel in September of 2011, and the experience is certainly as great as the other reviewers claim. The Vigniamont suite as wonderfully large. Babette was charming and very
helpful during our stay. A real treat.

My wife and I stayed here in June for a week. Everything about the hotel was great. So great in fact that (like other people I believe) I didn't want to post a review at all, in case it was fully occupied when we want to go again. However, I feel I owe it to Babette to tell others how good it is. You are made to feel welcome and special right from the start; the rooms are lovely, the wine and nibbles in the evening were a delight and the breakfast was superb - fresh fruits (in season), croissants, cereals, meat, cheese etc. The room was spacious, the bed comfy, there are nice relaxing seating areas inside and on the terrace. The main part of the town is only a very short walk away, with interesting shops, a big market on Saturdays, museums and entertainments (especially if you're a fan of Moliere) as well as some nice restaurants (albeit with a somewhat random tendency to be open or closed when they should be closed or open). We had no problems with car parking and the charges are very reasonable. It's a good location for travelling around an area which has many interesting little towns and places to visit - from the southern coast up to to the Milau Viaduct in the north, Carcassone in the west and to Nimes in the east and the Canal du Midi as well.

It really doesn't get better than this! The whole experience was brilliant - from the moment we arrived and Babette jumped into our car to guide us to the really convenient local parking until the moment that we eventually left. Having booked for 4 nights in the first instance we came back for another 4 nights at the end of our holiday in France. Babette (ably supported by Phillipe, Tango and Cachou!) is the perfect hostess. We stayed in the Alsace Room and it was excellent, including a beautiful courtyard as well as an internal sitting area within the room itself. Breakfast is superb; there is a good supply of local information; and the early evening 'wine tasting' is a delightful way to end a busy (or lazy) day, or start the evening! Vigniamont is well situated and within easy walking distance of the lovely town of Pezenas. We have no hesitation in recommending the hotel, and shall be returning. See you there!
