“NYE 2011”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

We stayed with Tobias and Marcus for a couple of days, including New Year's Eve. It was an experience that I doubt we could re-create anywhere. T & M were brilliant hosts; they were efficient and very friendly. Special compliment also for Tetenda (sorry if mis-spelled). The location is ideal, and Mont St Jean itself is well worth an exploratory walk. Absolutely, definitely recommended.

“A secluded gem in the middle of burgundy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

My wife and I spent the last few days of 2010 in this wonderful little chateau in the middle of Burgundy. The owners, Tobias and Marco, could not have been more welcoming or more helpful. The room was cozy with a great view over the fields, and the guest sitting areas and the small dining room were very comfortable as well. Although we had intended to use the inn as a base to try some of the excellent restaurants in the surrounding towns, after experiencing one of Tobias's meals accompanied by some great local wines, we stayed in for half of our dinners. We enjoyed exploring the local towns and villages (particularly Saulieu) and even had a winter picnic in the Morvan woods. The highpoint was a New Year's Eve dinner that was among the best we have had anywhere. A great group of guests, great food and wine made for our most memorable New Years Eve in many years.

We will certainly be back again, and look forward to the food and hospitality.

“beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 November 2011

We spent one night. The chateau and surroundings are beautiful. The owners are very helpful and speak English. The room was adorable and the bed very comfortable. The only minor problem was that the wifi didn't work in our room on the top floor.

“Great Village and food but service and communication to improve”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2011

We spent 2 nights in the Bed and Breakfast Les Roches in November this year.
The village is very nice and views from the place are gorgeous.
The diner we had there was as well very good, with efficient table service. The room was large (French standards) and clean.
One of the owner was nice and helpful when it takes to provide touristic information

Some disapointments: do not arrive before "official" hour of checking in the afternoon, the door is simply closed and no one is present to help you. Do not leave a few minutes after check out time (11am), the owner will become very annoyed (which is not nice when it is just a few minutes and you are there to relax)
Communication with one of the owner is sometimes difficult despite the fact my wife and I speak fluently English... Will not sure we will come back, still good stay overall.

“Most amazing hotel near Dijon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2011

Wow! We loved this hotel so much just had to write a review. For us, the things that make the biggest impact are three fold. 1. Location. What a stunning view and the gardens are just beautiful and so well cared for - really beautiful. 2. Quality of features rooms, cleanliness etc .. wonderful comfortable beds, beautiful furniture and immaculately clean. 3. The food, wine and the service. Absolutely outstanding. Marco and Tobias have done a quite outstanding job in creating the perfect French hotel experience. I salute you gentlemen.

Room Tip: Just ask if there is more than one room available when you arrive and can you see so you can choose
