“A delightful surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2011

We booked a short autumn break through Brittany Ferries without too much research and were very pleasantly surprised by this welcoming and peaceful hotel. Although the staff spoke little English, we managed with our basic French which caused some amusement all round. The food was excellent and the bread we had at breakfast was brilliant. We did feel that a daily printed menu might be useful for non-French speakers, as sometimes we were unsure of what we had actually ordered! Our dog was also made most welcome and he loved the beautiful grounds (as did we). Our room was spotless and serviced every day and we plan to return again in due course.

“First class hospitality the way it should be everywhere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2011 via mobile

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the owners as if they were genuinely pleased to see us. The lady who runs the place couldn't do enough to make us and our children feel at home. The room was nice and the location really quiet. The food was top notch good traditional French food that you always hope you'll find but never do. All round this place was a real find.

“Soak Up the Atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 July 2011

We stayed here for five days in May 2011 lovely farm in a tranquil setting (well worth finding!). The staff speak very little or “no” English, but not really a problem. The rooms are well decorated and comfortable, breakfast is a bit basic but still very good (nice coffee) .The local area is rural and quiet but well worth a visit especially the recently restored village: Le petit village de Ménéham. If you want a feel of the real Brittany give this a try. Also don’t miss the wonderful local beaches and Lighthouses.

A special place within easy reach of Roscoff....

“Charming and Peaceful hotel in Finisterre”

We had read mixed reviews of this hotel but our stay there was very enjoyable. New proprietors have taken over and they have already made a difference. The bedroom was simple but comfortable with central heating that was still working on the last day of May. The setting is beautiful, very quiet and peaceful and ideally situated for exploring the coast.
We are planning a return visit.

“A Quiet small hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2009

Positives first. We had a good sized room with excellent firm bed. Very quiet location. We were in an annexe which had a shared seating area just for 3 rooms, which we thought was nice. The location is great for easy travel across this part of Brittany and Brest is only 30 minutes away. Dining area was good although breakfast a bit limited. Bread juice and coffee, a typical French style breakfast.
Slight negative is that English is not spoken by any staff or is very limited and we did try very hard to communicate. On the first night we expected to order from the menu but were given the plat de jour, along with everyone else. We hadn't expected this because there were some interesting stuff on the menu but it was not to be. Don't get me wrong, the food was really well cooked but we would have preferred to have been advised of this before we arrived.
