Ella Adventure Park made a magical impression from the first moment. We were driven down the escarpment through the forest (quite a drive) at dusk and after descending the last 5 minutes by foot arrived at a rope-bridge over a lovely river and entered a beautifully done wooden walk way on the other side. Welcome to Ella Adventure Park.
The name "adventure park" could just as well be "nature lodge". However, they do have cool adventurous activities so the name is justified.
The lodge consists of a main part where you have dinner or a drink, all open, no walls. Walk along a stone path and after a few hundred meters you reach the first cabin. The next one is a few hundred meters further so each room has a feeling of total privacy and intimacy with nature. Each room is built on the river (slightly above it) with a balcony that gives the impression you're all alone in the jungle. At night there's many fire flies which adds a very mystical touch.
The rooms are simple but comfortable. A wooden floor and roof, curtains instead of walls, so you're really close to nature here.
The staff are super friendly. Good food. Lovely surroundings to go for hikes.
We stayed in the "new part" as far as we understood, which is far from the main road. Apparently there is also an older part of the lodge, further down and closer to the road, no idea how that part of the lodge is.
