“It is not what it says it is. NEVER STAY IN THIS HOTEL”

We were visiting from the USA and booked two super deluxe rooms in this hotel for February 8th 2012 through internet (HaridwarHotels net) and specifically requested that we do require wheel chair access as we have two individuals that required assistance. We chose based on what they said about this hotel on their website that is its proximity to Ganga ghat etc. When we went to check in around 6 PM or so, we were totally shocked as there is no car access to the hotel and parking, there was a lot of construction that limited the access to the hotel, it did not even look like a 4 star hotel, our uncle almost broke his leg when he was going into the reception because of the ditches and construction and the ambiance and the area of the hotel looked very shady. I am not sure who gave these star ratings to this hotel.

WE DID NOT CHECK INTO THE HOTEL AT ALL ALTHOUGH WE PAID FOR TWO ROOMS. INSTEAD WE WENT AND STAYED AT ANOTHER BETTER HOTEL.

CAUTION TO OVERSEAS VISITORS and also Indian visitors:
1. Do not book your hotel reservations through Hardwarhotels.net as you get nothing per their statement "If cancelled before 7 days: 85% refund, Between 7 days-72 hrs: 50% refund, Less than 72hrs, No-Shows or Early Checkout : No refund." Instead go through makemytrip.com or book reputed Tata Hotels chain or other chains.

2. Do not stay in this hotel as it does not have anything that qualifies it to be a four star hotel.
You can imagine that we were turned away by the surroundings and did not even check into the hotel, although we paid for two rooms. Instead we decided to go for a hotel that has parking, good ambiance and it matches its star ratings with its looks and service.

“NEVER STAY”

We booked this hotel through internet for our stay in Haridwar for 9th to 12th November 2011. They booked our room with complementry breakfast....But we saw after going, they are not interested for serving breakfast......we felt that we are baggers for breakfast.....because they are not interested to serve more piece of bread or tea-coffee.....we have paid ruppes them for breakfast but management is trying to save their food and kitchen staff also trying to save their food .... We really felt that , we are beggers and hotel staff is oblidge us for giving breakfast......Behaviour of staff is very cheap.....and I can not say in words....
Room service name - Zero....when we call 2 time by intercom, they are slowly move for room service.....Management is also save their soap, towels......If we say many times for any work they are come 1 times.....And I saw main point of this hotel that Hotel staff is under pressure of Management, so they are totaly non-co.operative towards customers.... we are unknown in Haridwar ,,,and auto drivers are cheating with tourist.......we experienced.....so we told in hotel reception to provide facility for auto in haridwar places and car for going Mussoorie on rent,, but hotel staff did not take any interest for our facility and we not get any guidence from them..........Hotel Management and staff are complete non-coperative and behavior with customers is very poor....
On hotel website, we saw rooms of hotel and other facility, but after going their, we saw it was very different looking in real....and we have not see gimnasium, garden and restauratnt looking on website....It is really cheating with customers......

Friendly and efficient relative to others of its class, with the usual grubby about the edges standard.
Quite a hike to the river for the aarti ceremony and not a place I would have booked myself, altho the walk wasn't unpleasant.
Bed/bedding was clean and comfortable enough and the surroundings were quiet
Restaurant service was good, with minimal wait, and the dinner tasty, altho the breakfast options seemed to be mostly unavailable.
I'd stay here again if I just needed a bed for a night, but not for anything more

We booked this hotel through internet for our stay in Haridwar for 11th and 12th Feb 2011.

When we arrived at the hotel we were shown our rooms which we did not like and asked for other rooms . The other rooms were a litttle bit better and we settled for this. The rooms are too small and the bathroom is crap.

our worst experience at this hotel was when wewere served with expired baked beans.We were 4 adults from Australia and New Zealand. We all had upset stomach and asked the kitchen staff for something non spicy. We were suggested baked beans . We settled for baked beans and toast for breakfast although this is something that we rarely have for breakfast at home.

After about 10 minutes one of the kitchen staff brought our breakfast and to our surprise the baked beans were cooked with spice and chillies. Any way we had no other choice so we decided to have that. By the evening we alll became sick and had running stomach. We knew that there was something wrong with the food.

We wanted to check the baked beans and asked one of the kitchen staff if we could see the baked bean . We lied to the staff that it was tasty and we wanted to see the brand. When he brought the baked bean we noticed that it was expired two years ago. We should have taken photos as a proof.

When we complained to the manager he denied that we had been given expired baked beans and tried to cover up . We even asked him to get the baked bean tin and check it himself to find the truth. He said that there is no baked bean left in the kitchen although it was not too long when we had a look at one of the baked bean tin.

The manager would not accept responsibility and started shouting at us . He definitely lacks profesionalism and does not know how to tackle problems. If we had photos of the baked bean tin we could have sued the hotel .

We all were sick for almost a week which ruined our holiday. We planned the 4 week long holiday in India a year in advance and booked the hotels from reviews.

The other staff are generally good and the lady at the reception is the best staff and tried to help us . She is a very charming lady .

I would certainly not recomend anybody to stay there and if you are staying do not eat at their restaurant.

I hope the management would intervene and get the true story from the kitchen staff and avoid this happening again. The last thing any traveller wants is to get sick while on holiday.

India is a facinating country , I urge the people in the hospitality industry to improve the quality of service and show professionalism .

good to stay with family service is average, but general behaviour of staff is very good. though it is little bit costly but i will still recommend it for night's stay. great location, rooms are clean.
