I think by the sidebar everyone has pretty much covered the place. It is a getaway with all you could want for a relaxing time on the beach and in the hotel.

Rooms were great, food was excellent and service was perfect. I could only stay for a few days, as I prefer the city and the people. But I did meet other nice people. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and happy to chat in the laid back atmosphere.

What made the event special was the wedding I was attending. After many years of visiting Zanzibar and my friend's desire to get married in Zanzibar. When she was going to get married she suggested they do it in Zanzibar. so the hotel staff put together a nice package with a wedding on the beach! Very quiet sun down wedding at a little spot built by the workers at the hotel. Thanks to them for putting on a great event with lots of food and special places for the couple and guests to enjoy. It was a success.

Recommended for some downtime and relaxing time. Internet was available as well as spa service. Pricey, so not a budget hotel. Fits the you get what you pay for rule. Equipment is available on at the beach house, and is reasonably priced, if you want to get out into the ocean. There is a little store with some nice things from Zanzibar. I know I am missing things, but what can you do when you are sitting back relaxing by the pool? Not remember the details, just the experience.

We had been to Breezes 14 months previously so they must have done something right to get us back there again!!
If you want nightlife, discos, bingo and raucous behaviour then go elsewhere. On the other hand, if you want beautiful grounds, helpful friendly staff, great food, brilliant service, an excellent beach and wonderful sea then Breezes is the place for you.

If you want to pick holes, it's a pity you can't swim at low tide but apart from that it's pretty much perfect.

Ignore the date I put as I couldn't put earlier!! Just been reminiscing with my husband about our holiday here in 2002 (before the spa arrived). We stayed for a full 14 days and it is the most relaxed we have ever been. Still think about it constantly. The room was wonderful, we had one overlooking the sea, sundowners and chess every evening on the veranda, and a friendly lizard we called Gordon in our room every night! Staff were brilliant, and managed to drink far too much in the beach bar every evening with sand running through my toes. If it wasn't for the pesky kids we would be back there tomorrow.

Faultless.

Perfect place to chill out at the end of a safari. Staff as already has been said professional but very friendly. Excellent food. Great beach and a very good diving centre.
