Me and my sister stayed in 'Barlimans', the hobbit themed room in January and it was a really lovely stay. The room was gorgeous, the service impeccable, and our only regret was that we could only stay one night! Gary was so friendly and helpful, helping us with our bags and even making a reservation for dinner for us at a very popular restaurant. The food was delicious and people were being turned away all night as it was booked out, so we were very thankful. Our hobbit breakfast in the morning was incredible and we were offered lifts to some of the attractions in Wanaka if we wanted. Highly recommended, we will stay there again!

We stayed in the hobbit themed room in September and this was one of the highlights of my trip! The room was lovely and Gary and Fran were amazing hosts, breakfast is so good and fills you up for most of the day! Would recommend Minaret lodge to anyone thanks for an enjoyable stay!

One of the best places we've ever stayed. The Hobbitt room was lots of fun, Fran and Gary were the best hosts (and chefs). The town is also very nice. I would recommend this lodge to everyone, whether you stay in the Hobbitt room or not.

My wife and I spent two nights in the hobbit themed room as part of the LOTR package. We loved every minute of our stay, it was very comfortable! Fran and Gary were great hosts, inviting us for drinks and home made hors d'œuvres each night. They were very helpful in every way necessary and a great couple to just sit and chat to over a glass of wine! The total experience was completed with a hobbit themed menu including Elvish Lembas bread!
