Every accommodation gem has at least one detractor; and people with a gripe are much more ready to write comments than those who do not. As a result of the "Don't be Seduced" posting, I am compelled to provide this contribution.
My wife and I spent 4 nights at Riverrun in February 2010. A cross between a B&B and rural hotel, Riverrun is set in idyllic farm country, surrounded by hills. Peace and quiet, together with discreet and caring service from the owner, Meg, are assured. Both we and our fellow guests obviously appreciate the exclusivity that Riverrun provides. One of more than a dozen upscale hotels/lodges in which we stayed in Australia and New Zealand, Riverrun is unique - in all the best ways. We cannot comment on dinner, but Meg's home-cooked breakfasts were delicious.
Meg is the epitomy of of an excellent host and would do anything to make anyone's stay memorable. I invite anyone who wants more information to contact me.
