Often photos of accommodation look very nice on websites but once you get there, you'll realise that they just got the best angle, therefore, somehow giving you a feeling of being dececived. With Archway, I was happy with all sort of unexpected delights that welcomed us during our stay there. Our chalet is very comfortable, it got everything we needed, when we needed extra plates, Bridgit quickly provided for more. The landscape is really nice, with lots of flowers. There's a ready babrbeque grill infront of our unit. And I didn't expect there'll be a garden where we can have picnic, a trampoline and a small playground for our little boy.

We had an overnight stay here. We were pleasantly surprised by the neatness, facility and spacious rooms here. Topping that was the unparalleled hospitality of the host - Mrs.Bridget and her husband. They we kind enough to recommend a good Indian restaurant just few minutes away - 'Ashraff's Restaurant'. We had a great time here.

We did not know the check-out timings in NZ(i.e. 10am) and continued few hours past 10. After requesting Bridget, they were kind enough to waive the additional fees though we were at fault. It was a good lesson and was helpful in our next stays in NZ elsewhere.

I heard that this is one of the old Motels here in Wanaka and no wonder they are doing so well because of their hospitality and service. Well done Archway !!

I love the hospitality of this motel. Bridgit was very very helpful and provided us with great service and upgraded my family to a larger unit without extra charges. I definitely love the warmth of the host, showed us around the place and helped us with turning on the heaters, etc etc. Plus, she advised us on what we should do in Lake Wanaka. Gave us tons of tips including information about the ski field, TREBLE CONE.
Very nice and comfortable place to stay in Wanaka as it is located not in the busy area, but just a little out and you get some beautiful mountain views. Ample of parking.

I would say the only area of improvement is the shower, and the usage of dual taps (hot and cold). We would prefer if it was a tap that has dual function (HOT/COLD). Other than that, a LOVELY PLACE TO STAY IN LAKE WANAKA !!

It is not often that the hosts will help you out with your washing. Their thoughtfulness meant that my husband and I could go and enjoy a lovely Indian dinner just down the road, early rather than late. This motel is also clearly well set up for summer and winter seasons, and the instructions set out in the various locations, makes it easy to use their facilities. Wanaka is a beautiful place to boot!
