My wife & I and 2 teenage boys stayed at Terrace Apartments in mid January in a 2 bedroom unit for three nights. What impressed us most was the enormous size of the unit. Our unit (214) was on the second floor and it was split level therefore had 2 balconies. The size of bedrooms was very generous and likewise the lounge, kitchen, bathrooms and balconies were all spacious and well equipped. Bedrooms being upstairs meant that one could have a snooze while others partied or did other things in the living area downstairs. Being a small resort, the facilities are not comparable to the more glamorous resorts nearby but the pool served as very well to cool down in the oppressive heat of Fiji's summer. It is the best located resort in Denarau as it is directly opposite Port Denarau where the restaurants and shops are situated and also the port to board the boats to the outer islands. Full kitchen facilities enables you to self cater if restaurant eating for every meal is not conducive. The supermarket at Port Denarau is expensive so it is best to stock up on groceries in supermarkets in Nadi town, Martintar or Namaka. For fresh fish, fruit and vegetabels, Nadi or Namaka markets are the places to go. Processed foods in Fiji are expensive so if on a budget stick to fresh foods. Bread is cheap but it is best to bring spreads and beverages from your home country.

I have stayed at this resort on two previous occassions and will definitely stay again.

“Spacious well equipped and relaxing.”

We stayed here for four nights in a one bedroom apartment before moving on to another property. The apartment we stayed in was spacious, well equipped and quiet. Although it is not beside the sea and does not have the same feel as those other resorts that have sea views, it has a pleasant outlook across the golf course. The Terraces is very convenient to the port for shopping, restaurants and trips to the islands. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was clean with good quality furnishings. The swimming pool was large enough, although not as big as those at the other Denarau Island resorts
There were only two small problems. There was little natural light in the bedroom. Also, while it was great to have the free internet, there were some problems with it in our room for part of our stay.
Al in all a great place to stay and we plan to return.

“perfect location”

Stayed at The Terraces for 7 night and we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are very clean and big. We had an upstairs room which has two balconies. Everything you need is in the apartment from a dishwasher to a washing machine and all extremely clean. The aircon is a must as we were there during the hottest time. The spa there is a must as it is the cheapest in Denarau. The Appartments are so very close to the Port. There are so many restaurants to choose from. We ate at Cardos a few nights and we were not disappointed at all. The hot bread shop is also a must. We brought a sandwich toaster with us (just $10 from k-mart) and that was used everyday. There is a supermaket at the port but we found a trip to Nadi town was well worth it. It only cost $1.00FJD per person on the yellow bus and the supermarket in town was much cheaper. If you want to check out the other resorts on the island I would suggest a taxi as they charge $5.00 per cab ride to any other hotel there (and $5.00 back), where the bula bus charges $7.00 each person for the day. If you are travelling with more than one person I feel the taxi is a much better option. The pool at The Terraces is nice as all you really need is to be cooled off. We visited the Sofitel and as nice as it was, there were far too many people for my liking. That is why I feel The Terraces suited us for our needs as it was so very close to the port for restaurants and trips to the outer islands. If you are thinking about staying here please do so you will not be disappointed (check out my other reviews Firstlanding, Matamona Island and Wananavu Resort).

Room Tip: Ask for an upstairs room as they have two balconies with beautiful views

We were in transit for 2 days in Nandi and were looking for a spot to rest without having to go to the restaurant every meal. THe Terraces was a perfect facilities for our family having only an objective to rest and cook on our own.

Unfortunatly due to heavy rain, the power went off the second day and the river overflowed and was about to stop us to catch our plane. We have been obliged to find another hotel closer to the airport for the last night. Dainaru area is not a good place if you are in the short term stay.

Apartments are well maintained. Housekeeping are quite thorough though they don't leave you with extra shampoos etc. Very clean and comfortable.

Room Tip: Across the road from Port Denarau where you will find shops and restaurants.
