“Lovely villa, people and service”

We stayed at the Sheraton Villas for 8 nights, at the beginning of Feb
The weather was absolutely horrendous, but the amazing resort and first-class service made the torrential rain seem like nothing.

The staff are always happy to help you, and there are plenty of them around.
The villa was incredible, we stayed in a 3 bedroom ocean view room, and it was perfect. Right on the beach, with panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding islands. It also had excellent access to the pools.
The room was serviced everyday, and it was very thoroughly cleaned by up to 3 people at a time. The breakfast buffet every morning was a great start to the day.

All together it was an amazing stay at a wonderful resort. Very highly recommended.

“A bit disappointed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

We stayed here 3 nights, admittedly the weather was awful and we were villa bound. The 2 bedroom villa was spacious which was good with 2 kids, especially when the weather meant we were stuck inside. The problem was with 3 TVs in the villa none of them worked 100% with the poor weather we offered the kids in-house movies, only to find that these did not work on any of the 3 TVs. There was no information about the resorts as this was to be found on the TV info channel - which also did not work in our room. The staff did try to fix the problem but we were told technicians were needed - this did not help our bored children. The pool was nice and we managed one swim between showers. There was not much to do when it rained, the kids played some board games with the staff- who where brilliant.
The main buffet restaurant was OK but nothing to get too excited about, plus the wet weather meant there were leaks everywhere. The cocktail bar was also only just OK and happy hour was very limited compared to the other happy hours we had experienced at other Fiji Resorts.
Overall we were disappointed, admittedly weather played a large part of this but the resort had no indoor options to keep adults and kids entertained.

Room Tip: 2 bedroom villa the best options for families

“Nice, but once is enough.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

We spent a week at the Sheraton Villas and had a mixed time. The units were well furnished, quiet and clean. The area was peaceful, and staff were very helpful most of the time.
However, the pool was quite cool, and poolside drinks were not cheap. Neither was the food; a small seafood basket $f30, and small it was. We found that nothing was cheap on Denarau; a better option was Port Denarau, but even then, at a local bar/restaurant, staff added plenty on our tab after a long night and we had no joy when disputing the amount.

We ventured across the road to the Tennis Club and found that venue a delight; a bucket of 6 Fiji Bitters $f10, a great steak with salad $f10, spirits the best prices we encountered in Fiji.

Happy hour(s) at all the Denarau resorts were carefully syncronised to prevent anyone from going to more than one or two venues.

The `beach` was not a beach at all, as another reviewer stated. `muddy and useless`.

Breakfast was very good, in terms of choice, but very crowded after 8.30am.

Now I hear the departure tax has jumped to $f150, an amount I would gladly pay to leave Fiji. Never again.

“twas ok”

We booked the Sheraton as we wanted a 7day resort style holiday, beach, cocktails by the pool etc and to do what we wnated when we wanted, never been to Fiji before all I knew was I wanted hot tropical weather. The trip cost us $1860 (NZ) per person for 6 inc breakfast.

I will start with the negative comments

Breakfast at feast, Wide range of food options, bacon isnt good and the majority of the food in the warmers is not hot more room temp. tea is weak (minor point i know) but i like strong tea

Pool Bar cocktails, watery, and pricey
Feast Buffet Nights, as per breakfast not hot
Food in all restaurants was expensive and when there are 6 of you it worked out to $600 per night inc a couple of drinks, no entree no desert.
Beach area - not the best, water muddy
Pools, full of little kids even in the adult areas, lots of litter at the end of the day, water required more filtration. the pool lighting was poor and wires were hanging out of the light recesses.
Rooms, no hotel information in ours, ie food choices, activities, where to get the boat to the island, kayaks etc.

Good.
Staff were friendly, room staff were good, and the rooms clean, had to ask for water, milk and towels a few times (still waiting for the water).

On the whole the hotel is a huge complex, mainly low rise, villas and units painted a salmon pink, the reception is nice, people nice. If i was to stay again I would not pay that much for this holiday.

“Relaxing Resort with Stunning Sunsets”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

We were moved from the Westin to the Sheraton Villas on our return from the amazing Blue Lagoon Cruise (a must do in Fiji) The Sheraton was a different style to the Westin (more US style) It was a large complex but with covered walkways once you found your way around no problem. Gardens and pool area are well mainatined and the Fish bar and restaurant is the place to eat to watch the sun go down. All in all a relaxed and happy time only small gripe was our booking was for a sea front room which we never got. But did not need it as we sat on the front. We would go back to Fiji and stay in either hotel again.
