“Relaxing, peaceful resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011

My husband and I just spent our babymoon at Las Casitas in a one bedroom ocean suite. Everything was really wonderful. The property was pretty empty as it was an off week to go, so it was very quiet and relaxing. The infinity pool is great. We went over to El Con for the breakfast (which is great and has a nice selection of fresh fruits, etc) and to take the ferry to the island. It wasn’t bad getting over to El Con and we waited max 5 min for someone to take us over in the golf cart. I think it would probably take longer if the resort was full. The private island is beautiful, but food at the restaurant there is not great. It can be a little inconvenient getting to the island, ferries were supposed to run every half an hour, but were running every hour instead so we had to wait 40 min for the boat. It would have been good if they posted the times in the lobby or by Las Brisas restaurant. We ate at the Italian restaurant at El Con one night and that was good. We went to La Estacion right outside the property and it was a good place for some local food. I recommend renting a car and going to Old San Juan one day. It’s only an hour drive and worth the trip! All in all, we will be back to Las Casitas!

Room Tip: Rooms in Las Casitas South are nice because the ocean rooms don't overlook the pool

“Las Casitas a Find!”

Spent a wonderful week at the villas! Service was exceptional. I highly recommend the spa. The Villas were the best for a romantic getaway-I would not stay in the huge, slightly overwhelming hotel portion of the property. This is ideally suited for teenagers, however, who will love it. Loved every second of the quieter Villas and miss the infinity pool!

“Great Service”

I spent four days there with my husband, daughter, and friend for the NJ Teachers' Convention Break. It was great, like being in la-la land. But my husband tipped the first butler $20 thinking he would be taking care of us the whole time. NEVER saw him again. We had three different butlers! My advice with the butlers and tipping, tip as you go and if you have the same butler at the end, bestow the large tip then. I wanted to be in Las Casitas Village North (closer to spa & hotel). I was in a 2BR oceanview casita. The second bedroom was upstairs, connecting, yet a separate outdoor entrance. For my daughter and her friend (a couple of 'tweeners), they were loving life! Breakfast at the Casitas Cafe was excellent. The waitress remembered all our preferences after eating there one day (cream for me, milk for my husband). We took the private luxury van transfer. Good call rather than be mixed up with the mess of people and luggage for the bus at the main hotel.

Las Casitas property is beautiful, the service was wonderful, especially Carlos, our butler. It was quiet despite full occupancy, very clean and the Infinity pool is out of this world. We dined at the Stingray, Strip House and Blossoms all were very good with excellent service. Pricey but that's what's to be expected at this type of resort. Richard gave my husband one of the best massages he's every had. We had a very relaxing stay!

I just spent 5 days there while attending my sons wedding, everything was fantastic!
1st class all the way, the attention to every detail was great.
The grounds are beautiful, everything was very clean, the pools were inviting.
