“Would not stay here again”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

The reason I am rating "poor" and not "terrible" is because our room and the pools were clean. Otherwise there is nothing good to say about the Fajardo Inn nor is there anything to do at the Fajardo Inn.

Checked in without event. The room assigned us was in the very very back of the resort and accessible by car - we did not have one which they knew as they arranged our transportation from the airport - or multiple hallways, walkways and staircases. We lugged our 3 suitcases ourselves as there is no one employed to do so. Interesting was the woman sitting on the 2nd stairway from last smoking marijuana......

Two pools - you are given a voucher for pool towels one per person. If you do not return the towels for the voucher at the end of your stay you are charged $25 per towel. The term "towel" is used loosely here - the towels are threadbare bath size towels that are useless when laid on a pool chair. The Fajardo Inn website brags of great pools with a pool bar - yes, there is a pool bar there THAT IS NOT OPEN. The day we got our towels there were signs at both pools blocking entry saying "pool closed". We asked - the woman that gave us our towels said they just hadn't gotten around to moving the signs yet and asked us to please move the signs when we went to the pool.

Two restaurants - we ate breakfast both mornings, ok food, slow service. Ate at the the bar for lunch and dinner both nights, ok food, ok service.

The Fajardo Inn isn't really close to anything and we did get to relax if nothing else. There is nothing to do at the Fajardo Inn and honestly I don't think they really care if you stay or not.

“Beautiful Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

Stayed one night, 1/23/12 t0 1/24/12. Views from Inn swere awesome. Beautiful, clean comfortable place. Staff was very friendly & accommodating. Ordered a late supper from one of their restaurants the Blue Iguana Mexican Grill & Bar. Food was Tex-Mex/Mexican and was very good. Their other restaurant the Starfish, which serves P.R. fare was closed when we were there. Would stay there again. The Inn was close to the El Yungue Rainforest & the Laguna Grande (Bioluminiscent Bay). These two places were the reason we traveled from Guayanilla to Fajardo.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It was a pleasure having you as our guest. We certainly work hard to keep our standards. We take pride of our staff and work very hard to maintain our property in the best way possible for the enjoyment of our guests since our clients are our priority. There are many other attractions in the area for the next time you visit. We hope to be able to have you as our guest in a near future.

“Fajardo Inn”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

Convienient location for around eastern PR. Close to the rainforest and travel to Vieques. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was fun though I never say the swim up pool bar open. The 3 Q bed room was huge.

Thank you for your review. Our rooms are a bit bigger than the normal standard of hotel rooms, and the triple room it is in fact one of the biggest one we have. Hope to see you soon...

“Nice hotel, but not close to anything!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

The Fajardo Inn wasn't close to much. There was a bar a little ways away. 20 min walk if I remember correctly. No continental breakfast, but they did have a restaurant downstairs. Went there quite a few times. We had to take a cab just to get to the beach, and we all felt like fish out of water there. When we went snorkeling we went with the company East Wind. Also went to see the Bio-Bay that night. Catamaran and 2 or 3 snorkeling spots. We also saw a whale while on the catamaran. Definitely bring sunscreen! Pools were very nice. They have a bird cage next to the second pool that's down from the first. The swim up bar was not in service when we were there, or they just stopped running it. Very good place to tan...or get burnt.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at our hotel. It is a genuine pleasure to read that you had the opportunity to stay with us. Fajardo Inn is centrally located in an area where you can go to the beach, El Yunque, the islands of Vieques and Culebra, local restaurants, tours like the bioluminescent bay, snorkeling, diving, horseback riding, zipline, snuba, among many others; as we are close to those attractions. The only catch, you do need to either rent a car or request transportation at our Front Desk, we hope that at least you enjoy the tours in the area as we know they are a lot of fun. Hope to see you soon…
