The reason I am rating "poor" and not "terrible" is because our room and the pools were clean. Otherwise there is nothing good to say about the Fajardo Inn nor is there anything to do at the Fajardo Inn.
Checked in without event. The room assigned us was in the very very back of the resort and accessible by car - we did not have one which they knew as they arranged our transportation from the airport - or multiple hallways, walkways and staircases. We lugged our 3 suitcases ourselves as there is no one employed to do so. Interesting was the woman sitting on the 2nd stairway from last smoking marijuana......
Two pools - you are given a voucher for pool towels one per person. If you do not return the towels for the voucher at the end of your stay you are charged $25 per towel. The term "towel" is used loosely here - the towels are threadbare bath size towels that are useless when laid on a pool chair. The Fajardo Inn website brags of great pools with a pool bar - yes, there is a pool bar there THAT IS NOT OPEN. The day we got our towels there were signs at both pools blocking entry saying "pool closed". We asked - the woman that gave us our towels said they just hadn't gotten around to moving the signs yet and asked us to please move the signs when we went to the pool.
Two restaurants - we ate breakfast both mornings, ok food, slow service. Ate at the the bar for lunch and dinner both nights, ok food, ok service.
The Fajardo Inn isn't really close to anything and we did get to relax if nothing else. There is nothing to do at the Fajardo Inn and honestly I don't think they really care if you stay or not.
