Stayed at the Atlantico second week in October with another couple and boy was it hot, I like it warm but didn't think it would be much over 20-23 degrees, was I wrong 28-32 most of the time, hotter in Seville when we went on a trip for the day, a day is not long enough and would love to go back. The reception staff at the Atlantico were excellent, we were not happy with our rooms on arrival but it was no trouble for them to change both our rooms which had a side sea views, watching the fishing boats go out each morning was nice and we didn't find them noisy as others have said. Maids very good, bar staff and restaurant staff were what you expect from a Riu hotel. Food was a good standard and varied. Not too much to do in Isla Canela but we always had a pleasant walk around the marina in the evening which is all we needed at the end of our meal, we also went in to watch the entertainment which was ok most nights, the best night was the flamenco dancers they were excellent. There was plenty of space on the beach, and it was still warm in the sea, in fact warmer than the hotel pool. Ayamonte is a nice place to visit, get the bus from outside the hotel which is very cheap or a taxi which was nine euros (thats not bad between four of you) We also got the Ferry over to Vila Real de Santo Antonio, unfortunatly it was a spanish/portugese public holiday so its was heaving, every street had market stalls and all along to quay, the columbus trip was worth going on which took us to the monestry and also the replicas of columbus's ships. Take the water taxi from the marina over to Isla Christina, nice little town!
Room Tip: Ask for high floor side sea view, we had rooms 4023 and 4029
