Without any extraordinary expectations for our 4-day stop-over near Perpignan on the way to Barcelona, we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms, pool and wooded surroundings of the "Relais des Chartreuses" — and absolutely amazed by the refinement and originality of the cuisine! Imagined, prepared and served by a warm, friendly and efficient team (Anne, Frédéric and Nathalie), the evening meals were, in each case, a true gastronomic delight. To our great surprise, the highlight of our day was imagining (and tasting!) the varied delights of Frédéric's menu. A highly recommended, refined hotel for a stop-over or a longer visit.

Warm welcome, friendly & efficient service throughout our six day stay. The hotel is beautifully situated in the hills with a lovely view of the valley. Delicious, refined cuisine using local/homegrown fresh ingredients was an absolute delight. Every evening was a culinary adventure as there is a fixed menu - dishes are varied, delicious & even healthy!!! Also on offer were an interesting choice of local wines.
We were delighted with our spring break in this haven of peace. The owners & their team are friendly and helpful. The massages a plus after a day of visiting the region. A must!

The relais is a very nice place, quiet and peaceful. The cuisine is very good and favours local recipes and ingredients. Tthe owners and the staff very friendly and helpful. I can only recommand this cosy hotel. The location is also well suited in order to explore the surroundings. The view from the terrace is spectacular.

Beautifully located, beautiful hotel, and excellent food! We are late planners and everything was booked except the "annex". This was a big disappointment for us, as it was not as stylish as the rest of the place. Our advice is therefor to avoid the annex, go for the main rooms, which we think must be great, and by all means STAY FOR DINNER! This place has a chef that is beyond what you expect, and we had some really excellent dinners here! Great locations for exploring Spain and the south of France.
