“Lovely and sweet lodge!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

My boyfriend and I just stayed at Cliffrose Lodge for a romantic outdoorsy getaway from the city. The hotel in general is sweet, accommodating, and a great location outside of Zion National Park. We stayed in Room #130 which was great because it was on the end (as well as the top floor) which was very quiet. The room has been recently upgraded, great bathtub, large clean and comfortable linens, and a great patio. We also had a tiny fridge, and a microwave. The room literally lacks nothing. We loved being close to a little creek, which also has three fire pits alongside. They even sell firewood to build fires. There is a very clean pool and hot tub, opened 24 hours, and a laundry facility on-site. This feels like a home away from home. The staff working the front desk at this family-owned establishment is so helpful. They even advised us on a day of snow skiing at Brians Head, only about an hour and a half away. Zion National Park is literally less than 1/4 mile away, where we enjoyed lovely hikes with waterfalls. The restaurant next door to the hotel is a great locals breakfast spot. We truly could not of asked for a more accommodating hotel, and look forward to going back!

Room Tip: Loved Room #130

“Lovely rooms, rude staff at front desk.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

This was a lovely place to stay and had great ambiance. The rooms were clean and beautiful. everything would have been perfect expect for the lady who worked at the front desk. She wasn't friendly at all. We suspect she might have lied to us about what time to check in. We asked if they provided breakfast and she apologetically snapped back at us that we could buy breakfast at the cafe next door. Other than that, we enjoyed the nice room and the hot tub.

Room Tip: We had a "canyon" view room. The view out the window was amazing. However, the walls are p...

“Good rooms, good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

We stayed in the canyon view room with 2 queen beds. The beds were great - nice, well furnished and firm. Lots of pillows. Bathroom counter was good and high enough, and the faucet was higher than normal. Refrigerator did good job of cooling, and there was plenty of shelf space. The bathroom door squeaked, and the vent fan didn't work very well. The bathroom was a little tight and about average for a lesser hotel. Not enough wall outlets to charge phones and other devices, and use laptops. The grounds were spacious, but the landscaping left a little to be desired. The view was spectacular and being by the river was nice. We went on several walks. Overall our experience was pleasant and relaxing.

Thank you for your kind comments regarding our property. I wanted to respond to the comment about our landscaping. Since this guest visited us in the winter months our flower gardens are not in bloom, and the grass isn't as green, however we do have a full time grounds keeping staff year round to keep things very clean and very well kept.

Our flower show begins in March and goes through November. During these months our grass is velvet green and there are many botanical flower beds throughout the property. Please visit our website to view pictures.

Thank you,

Breck Dockstader

“"Birthday Retreat"”

I recently stayed at the Cliffrose Lodge & Gardens and the place was very nice, the room was very spacious and clean. My room was located close to the water and the view was magnificent. The lodge is located in the perfect spot adjacent to the entry of Zion National Park. The only draw back was that "cell reception" wasn't the best, but I would recommend this location to anyone who is looking for solitude and tranquility.

It's a romantic and convenient place to stay. It was my second time staying there and I will probably stay there again on my next trip to Zion this summer. You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back row (away from Zion Park Blvd) open out to a meadow which leads directly to the ri...
