“Beautiful, contemporary room!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

We usually camp when visiting Zion, but with a high of 20 degrees at night, and needing a good night's rest for our two strenuous days of hiking, we splurged and got a room at the Driftwood Lodge. Since it was off season, we got an awesome rate!

The room was very comfortable, immaculate, and eye pleasing with it's contemporary decor. I have no complaints about the room, at all! We had a room with a balcony, with beautiful mountain views; the balcony was equipped with two quaint chairs, and a side table- it was nice to sit outside, and enjoy my morning coffee before setting off on our long hike. We brought our own food, so the fact that they don't offer a continental breakfast was no big deal to us. There's a restaurant there, but was closed, as many businesses in Springdale/Zion this time of year. The horses on the property next to our room were nice to see. Would stay at the Driftwood again.

Enjoy!

Room Tip: Balcony with mountain views was worth the extra ten bucks!

“Wonderful Property that is dog friendly!”

We stayed at the Driftwood Lodge in November 2011 while visiting Zion National Park. Since we had a dog with us, the Driftwood Lodge was a perfect choice for us. Our room was fantastic - one of the nicest rooms ever - big, clean, new bathroom, kitchenette, kitchen table, private porch to a fenced outside grassy area. No doggy smell at all! The views of the red rocks were magnificent, especially in the early morning! The owner was really nice and gave us tips for hiking.
The hotel was quiet, though we were there off-season, mid-week. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed due to being off-season and mid-week, so we went out to eat elsewhere.
I highly recommend this hotel.

“Overly Nosey Owners”

Owners appear to live on site and were constantly loitering around our vehicles and outside our room. Very creepy. Made everybody in our party uncomfortable.

Room Tip: The cheaper rooms are actually nicer and larger than the more expensive rooms

“very comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

We stayed in this hotel at the very beginning of January and the hotel was very quiet, the restaurant was closed as it was out of season, so we had to eat out. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but we would have like bigger bath, The views from the room were lovely and looked out on a paddock with 2 horses. It was nice having a separate living room to rlax with a beer.

Room Tip: Up grade to a suite and enjoy the comfort of a separate living room

“Beautiful surroundings and a nice room”

I have just come across some photos of this hotel from our stay last year. A review might now be a bit dated but I always find the traveller photos very useful, so I thought I would go ahead and post these anyway.
Briefly, we found the hotel room itself to be large and clean, with modern ammenities. There are hotels closer to town and even in town, which would have made getting meals a little easier. But the view from the pool or our patio made the Driftwood Lodge a great choice.
