“Friendly and clean”

We stayed for one night at the Best Western Zion Park Inn during our trip to the Southwestern USA this past July. After a full day of hiking in beautiful Zion National Park, The Best Western Zion Park Inn was a clean, quiet, friendly, comfortable place to turn in.

Like most Best Western hotels, this is not a luxury resort. The room decor could use a little updating. However, I don't think most people come to the Best Western looking for the latest in room decor fashion. We look for value, cleanliness, and comfort. We got exactly that. The man at the check-in desk was friendly and willing to answer all of our questions about the area. In addition, the lobby area was decorated in a southwestern style, which makes the property unique and in tune with its surroundings.

Of course, the best part of the Best Western Zion Park Inn is the location, a less-than-five-minute drive from Zion National Park. From the hotel, you can see beautiful sunsets, sunrises, and of course, the beautiful mountain surroundings. It was a shame we could stay only one night because the location is heavenly.

“Wonderful Hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

Wonderful Hotel ! My number one concern when rating a hotel is cleanliness. This hotel is perfectly clean in every way. I'm very impressed with that. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The beds are comfortable. Carpets are clean and new.

We reserved two adjacent rooms, each with two queen size beds. Each room has plenty of clean soft towels. Bathroom is spotlessly clean and well stocked with soaps, and shampoos. The room is furnished with a TV, refrigerator, and a nice sized desk. There is plenty of lighting. The TV has available parental controls. I especially like that each room is furnished with two very comfortable soft arm chairs, as well as a desk chair. Our rooms have vaulted ceilings which is very attractive.

The hallways outside the rooms are wide and spacious. The lobby has lots of comfortable seating available in several different areas where guests can get together. There are several balconys and patios with comfortable outdoor furniture to sit and relax.

I noticed several previous reviews that mentioned small complaints which, as far as I can tell, have been addressed by the staff here. Someone mentioned a microwave that wasn't accessible at all hours. There is now a microwave oven available in the vending area. There are paper towels available by the microwave which is convenient. Someone else mentioned that there was no breakfast available. They informed me upon check-in tonight that they have recently begun to offer free cooked to order breakfast in the restaurant, for each guest.

We love this hotel and we will come back when visiting this area again.

Room Tip: The upper floor above the check-in desk has a nice view looking down into the lobby and outdoor pati...

“Great choice”

Convenient (very close to the park entrance), friendly staff and clean rooms. This is by no means a 4-star hotel; but for the price it's good value. We needed something for the night and were happy with this basic room.

Thank you for choosing the Zion Park Inn. I am glad you felt it was a good value for your money. I noted that you stayed with us in November. You will be happy to learn that as of January 1st we are now including breakfast in our room rate. We feel this is a great added value for the price. Hope you will visit us again and judge for yourself just how wonderful the breakfast offering is.

“Comfortable Hotel!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

My wife and I visited for five days while photographing Zion. The hotel is clean and comfortable. There is no microwave in the room which was disappointing. The beds are very comfortable esspecially after hiking all day long, makes it nice to have a comfortable bed to sleep in. When I called to make reservations, they told me the on site bar was open year round and it was not. There is not much as far as resturants in the area off season and the few that are open close around 8:00 p.m. Well, by the time we get done hiking back from the trails and get back to the hotel, all the restaurants are already closed. We had to drive 20 miles to the super Wal-Mart just to find food in their deli. I would have rated this hotel 5 stars but due to the lack of restaurants that stay open past 8:00 p.m. We cut our trip short 4 days because of the lack of food in the area. We only stayed three days.

Thank you for your kind words regarding our hotel. I'm so glad you found our Simmons mattress to be comfortable after long days hiking. We hope your dog enjoyed its stay as well. I sincerely apologize for our staffs lack of adequate communication with you regarding food and restaurants during our winter season. As you noted, there are not microwaves in the rooms, however, they are available for guest use in the vending areas. Jack's Sports Grill was open while you were here, but you did find it closed after 8pm. Like other restaurants in Springdale, although scheduled to close at 9 or 10, they do sometimes close early as there is just not enough business in winter to justify staying open any later. Sol Foods Market, just a half mile up the street, has a full line of groceries and deli items and are open untill 10pm. Again, I am sorry we did not make that clear as that could have saved you the time and energy required to drive into Hurricane.
We hope that you will give us the opportunity to serve you again on your next Photography and Hiking expedition.
