While there are many B&Bs in the Finger Lakes region, searching online can leave you with the impression that many don't care about providing rates, availability, or even decent photos of the rooms. We were glad that Barristers B&B was not one of those!
Their web site is attractive and helpful, with all the usual information we come to expect in this online world.
The real treat begins, however, when you arrive at Barristers. Ken and Diane are warm and friendly, greeting you like old friends, and chatting about the house, its history, its connections (and those of Seneca Falls) with the classic film, "It's A Wonderful Life", and more. The house was beautifully decorated for the holidays and we were given the full tour. They provided helpful suggestions for dinner, and we enjoyed a nice walk to the downtown area and back.
The breakfast was excellent - three courses of fresh and local ingredients. Beautifully presented, everything was very flavorful.
We enjoyed our visit with Ken and Diane, and when we return (as we surely will), it will be like seeing old friends again.
