“Wonderful hosts!”

While there are many B&Bs in the Finger Lakes region, searching online can leave you with the impression that many don't care about providing rates, availability, or even decent photos of the rooms. We were glad that Barristers B&B was not one of those!

Their web site is attractive and helpful, with all the usual information we come to expect in this online world.

The real treat begins, however, when you arrive at Barristers. Ken and Diane are warm and friendly, greeting you like old friends, and chatting about the house, its history, its connections (and those of Seneca Falls) with the classic film, "It's A Wonderful Life", and more. The house was beautifully decorated for the holidays and we were given the full tour. They provided helpful suggestions for dinner, and we enjoyed a nice walk to the downtown area and back.

The breakfast was excellent - three courses of fresh and local ingredients. Beautifully presented, everything was very flavorful.

We enjoyed our visit with Ken and Diane, and when we return (as we surely will), it will be like seeing old friends again.

Room Tip: Our room was on the front of the house, but we did not hear any road noise, as the house was very qu...

“Loved our stay!”

After reading so many fabulous reviews of Barrister's Bed & Breakfast on Tripadvisor, I knew we had to take a trip! My boyfriend and I took the 4 1/2 hour drive up to beautiful Seneca Falls and arrived on a Friday at Barrister's B&B. We were greeted by Ken (who is so incredibly nice) and he welcomed us into his home. The house is a gorgeous old victorian and it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Ken showed us around and took us to our room. A wonderful little gift was waiting for us in the room- champagne!! What a nice little touch upon our arrival. We stayed in Grandmother's Room. We enjoyed relaxing in the large jacuzzi and sitting by the warm fireplace. The king size bed was very comfortable. The next morning we were so happy to finally meet Diane as Ken prepared a delightful breakfast. Diane was so warm and friendly and talked to us about the Finger Lakes area and prepped us for our wine tour. Ken & Diane took care of ALL of the details for our day of wine touring...from the driver, to 'barrister buck' coupons for free wine tastings, to our picnic basket....The day could not have been better. When we got back to the B&B, we enjoyed some hot tea and coffee and some fresh baked good courtesy of Diane. We had such a lovely conversation with the owners...they really are some of the nicest, most honest-to-goodness people you'll ever meet. Words can't describe Ken's amazing breakfasts, so I've included pictures :o) We can't wait to go back...Thanks Ken & Diane for a memorable trip!!!!

Room Tip: Grandmother's Room was spacious and so relaxing. Large jacuzzi was a plus.

“Amazing Hospitality!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

From the moment we walked in, the warmth was felt. Ken and Diane couldn't have been more welcoming. Ken was the chef and Diane was the baker. They catered to our dietary needs and were both so attentive. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious! The smells in the house were so amazing.

The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas when we were there.

I have visited many Bed & Breakfasts and never have I been as impressed as I was at Barristers. If you are visiting the Finger Lakes, I highly recommend you stay here, it will be a memory you will treasure.

“Home away from Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2011

I can't imagine a more perfect way to experience the Finger Lakes. My wife and ...I escaped on our getaway on Thanksgiving and Ken and Diane were waiting with open arms to provide us with every comfort a traveler could ever expect. From the amazing breakfast bounty to the warm family style conversations that we had each night, the vacation was an experience that we can not wait to duplicate. The VIP wine package is a must for any wine lover who wants to learn about the area and taste some of the finger lakes finest offerings. My only warning.....be prepared to gain some weight!!!! “Great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

Barrister's B&B is an immaculately kept historic 19th century house with period-appropriate antiques and wonderful modern amenities (including a jacuzzi bath) that are so seamlessly integrated into the home that they appear as if they were part of the original. Ken & Diane have placed pretty wicker baskets and antique bowls containing brochures, restaurant guides, and home-made binders with the rules of the house in each bedroom and in most of the common areas, so you never have to search to find information about something to do or someplace to eat. They are both extremely knowledgeable about the area, so if you can't find a brochure, all you have to do is ask. They will happily arrange wine-tours, in-house massages, and make reservations, among other services. But if you stay there, don't plan on having lunch anywhere: the 3 course gourmet breakfast (baked goods by Diane, other cooking by Ken) will keep you quite happy until dinner time.

Room Tip: "Grandmother's room" has a large bath with jacuzzi and stall shower. There is also a b...
