Decided to stay in town after a long Saturday night at Kings Island in order to get up and out for early Bengals tailgating. Searched online for a nice hotel downtown within walking distance and found all other options to be $269-$600/night. When I came across the Ramada I knew immediately I would need to drive to the game and pay for parking which added another $30 to the nightly advertised rate of $159. I did search the travel websites and was able to book for $90 through Priceline. THANK GOD!! Once we arrived our reservation was lost (either the fault of Priceline or the hotel, not quite sure). The front lobby was very disappointing but looked like they were in the process of renovating? However, after now reading other comments here, these may not have been renovations after all, just temporary patchwork? The night attendant, though not overly friendly, wasn't rude either. Took care of the problem and put us in a similar room. The elevators seemed a bit aged but didn't feel life threatening. The area seemed good to me, never felt unsafe at any point. However, once you step off of the elevator you'll want to turn back around and run. The hallway carpets are many shades of brown and black. The walls are dirty and very aged in appearance. However, I still felt the hallway to be cleaner than the room. Once in the room, the smell was terrible, the carpet was dirty with some small pieces of noticeable trash under and behind tables. The entire room walls were covered in spills, goo, slop or god knows what else. The tub was old, worn and just plain filthy looking. Several of the towels smelt like feces. We did check for bed bugs and didn't find any, so if that is your only criteria then you are good to stay here. I of course didn't sleep well and in fact bundled up in extra layers of clothing as an attempt to keep any sort of crud or critter off of me during the night. For me it wasn't worth the $90. This is more of a $32.99 type of place if you ask me. My next visit to Cincinnati, I'll pay the $269 from now on and stay at one of the more fitting places downtown.
