“Hated my short experience!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 August 2011

First off, staff was unfriendly and had an attitude. check in time was 2pm, we arrived at 4pm to check in. When we got our room key, we went to the room and the room had NOT been touched by housekeeping, needless to say they sent us to a filtthy room. My husband talked to someone and they said what do you mean its not clean? well it wasn;t touched meaning, beds not made, trash all over, dirty linen everyhwere. The staff, nor did the manager try to apologize for the mistake, they just told us we would get our money back. Another housekeeper gave my husband access to another room and when he walked in you could get a contact high from pot. That room was cleaned by housekeeping, but not to full potential. We of course got our money back and went elsewhere. Was not happy at all. An apology would have been nice, but nothing.

“Not Even "You Pay for What You Get"”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2011

We NEVER need to stay here again. Had we not prepaid, we would have left and found a different hotel.

Upon arrival (which was around midnight, mind you), the entire lobby and common area was overrun by some kind of child-aged and teenaged group of travelers. They were pretty much unsupervised and, despite numerous complaints from many guests, management did nothing to rein in these unruly kids. The desk clerk was so frazzled that check-in took at least 15-20 minutes, which was not acceptable for a prepaid, pre-booked reservation.

Our first room was on the third floor, which was full of even more unsupervised minors, who were running in and out of each other's rooms. There were bags of trash and dirty clothes/towels everywhere. Despite our request for a non-smoking room, the first room (337, I believe) reeked of smoke. Between that and the noise, we asked to be moved. To their credit, Baymont was very accomodating about this, and it was accomplished with minimal drama.

Our second room was on the first floor (also littered with dirty laundry and garbage). It was was much quieter, but still smelled faintly of smoke. The room was very dated and dirty (e.g. there were dust bunnies, the tiles and grout needed a thorough scrub-down). Towels were thin and threadbare and when we requested a fourth bath towel (we paid for four people), we were given a pool towel. The beds themselves were rickety and uncomfortable, complete with scratchy sheets and worn blankets.

In the morning, breakfast was overrun with even MORE unruly kids, and breakfast options were mediocre, at best (there were no healthy, nutiritous options, but rather something like Fruit Loops and Corn Flakes).

Upon several occasions that morning, I tried to speak to someone at the front desk, but there were times when there wasn't even a clerk at the desk, much less a manager. I was told I could call the manager after 11:30. When I did so on a couple of occasions, he was unavailable (I seriously wondered if there even WAS a manager) and I only just got a message from him.

This experience was uncharacteristic of any other Baymont Inn where I've stayed. Run, do not walk, away from booking this hotel.

Room Tip: Stay away from the third floor. And the first floor.

“Very good for the money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 August 2011

Good affordable hotel with easy access to shopping and the interstate. Staff was friendly and helpful and the room was large and clean.

I think most of the people whining and moaning have too lofty of expectations for an economy hotel. Was it the most comfortable bed ever? No. Were there loud kids at one point? Yes. If you want the most amazing experience of your life go spend 300 dollars at the Hilton. If you're looking for somewhere nice to stay so you can spend your money on experiences, this is an excellent place.

“DONT STAY HERE”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2011

The hotel should be shut down. I will never stay at another BAYMONT INN. The hotel was dirty, the pool should have been shut down the rail going into the pool was coming out of the cement. There were stains on the floor in the lobby and hallways. No security at the doors; did not have to use key card for the side doors. The front desk was RUDE. The room looked like a room from the 70's. NO FLAT SCREEN TV REALLY~. Had to ask for a receipt from the stay.

“Bed Bugs!!!!!”

I stayed in Cincinnati over the 4th of July weekend to visit family, and stayed here because it was cheap and LOOKED nice on the outside. When i got walked in the front desk woman was rude, the hallways were hot, with many teenagers partying in the not so nice pool area and making alot of noise. Then, when i got into my room, there was 1990's decor, a musty smell and the TV didnt work right, but I THOUGHT there wouldnt be any harm sleeping there. When i woke up i was itching and had bed bug bites all over my arm. When i went to complain to the Indian woman at the desk she didnt give me a refund or ANYTHING. And when i called to complain the the 'manager' he hung up on me. this place could be so much nicer if it had management that actually cared.
