To write about hotel, 2 things off the bat are VERY important! The mirror was splattered with toothpaste when we came (it's outside washroom area) and the bathtub was NOT fully clean (had a big clump of dirt in one corner. UGH!!) We stayed only 2 nights (JUST for sleeping. Staying for the W&S tennis open) & didn't of course expect much at this price but cleanliness is NOT expensive and means a LOT to every person who travels (plus the cleaning staff DID visit one morning as we left to our activities. I was SO dismayed to return to same disgusting mirror & spot not cleaned in bathtub. I'd have mentioned it but she wasn't around when we walked out).
I care little about the run-down nature or other cosmetic appeal, not at such great price ($46/ night hotwire) but being CLEAN is essential at ANY cost.
OH and also when I went to do laundry upon return, there was a BUG on a shirt. That's a deal breaker for me, I will never risk bringing bugs home---not EVER.
But you know IF they cleaned up, THAT'S ALL, I'd have been happy (was not expecting the Hilton!). They have free continental breakfast (we didn't bother with), outdoor swimming pool (looked fine, again not used by us. Kids appeared to be having swell time) & small fridge & microwave so how convenient (plus TWO double beds since husband & I like our OWN bed when traveling). Certainly has it's assets (nice guy at front desk). C'mon just CLEAN UP, how hard is that??
If you could share these 3 items with this venue, that would help them a LOT!!
