I had to go to Walla Walla, WA for business this past weekend. Stayed at the Comfort Inn. It's located just off of Highway 12, in a relatively uncontested area. This is a small city, so you're never far from anywhere. One word of caution, I have two GPS devices and they both went haywire in the area. Not sure what was going on. Double check your routes via mapquest before venturing out.

Ok, check-in was a breeze. The lobby was clean, well-lit, and nicely appointed. My room felt a little small, but was clean and the a/c worked great! Beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean, and the shower pumped lots of hot water through one of those adjustable, pulsating showerheads.

Breakfast buffet starts at 6 and included everything from cold cereal to eggs, blueberry waffles, sausage, juice and coffee that actually tasted good.

The front desk people were very friendly, helpful, and knew a lot about the area. They gave great directions to local businesses and even told me how to get to my appointment.

All-in-all, a good stay, and I'd stay there again if business took me to the area.m

We were on a road trip and stopped for one night in Walla Walla. The hotel was standard, but clean and the staff was friendly.

We stayed here while visiting Walla Walla for a family wedding. The hotel staff was wonderful. We have 3 small children and staffers were attentive and proactive when it came to our needs. Breakfast was filling and offered a great selection for all 5 of us. Pool area was always clean, safe and tidy. Exercise room is next to pool with window to keep eye in family/kids. equipment was brand new and in great working condition.
Room was clean and had nice amenities (fridge, micro, coffee maker etc.) Bath room was very large with high ceilings -- great for our large family.
They had a cash "happy hour" to celebrate local wines, which we did not attend, we may have if it was cheaper or included snacks/food.
Cons --- our son slept on hide-a-bed and said it was uncomfortable so he ended up sleeping on the floor. There was a little bit of black mold on the wall where the wall paper met the shower surround and our coffee table was chipped/splintering. This hotel did not allow pets at the time of our stay.
All in all a good stay and we will probably stay there again on future trips to Walla Walla.

We could not sleep. Our eyes were swollen and stinging, and our throats and lungs were burning. We had spent the night at the Walla Walla Comfort Inn and Suites August 22-23. Our room was directly across from the pool. During the night the fumes from the chlorine-saturated pool and spa filled the hall and seeped under the door of our room. When I opened the door, the fumes filled my lungs and burnt my eyes--I had to close my eyes and could not breathe. The front desk clerk was not at the front desk, which was down the hall, around the corner and across the lobby by the front door--the fumes had driven her into the office, where she emerged with red, tearing eyes. The owner of the hotel would be there soon, but in the meantime she would move us to another room in another part of the hotel. The owner agreed to refund the cost of the room, but would charge us for the room we were now in if we chose to stay. That we had not slept, had been harmed by staying in her hotel and needed medical treatment for the fumes we had breathed all night was immaterial to her. She never apologized.
