We stayed here during the holiday season on one of our trips to the coast. This was our first La Quinta and if this is their norm, they have won us over. We plan to stay again.
The good: Maybe the price was reduced to entice travelers during the lull between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but we only paid $49 for a room with 1 queen bed. It's possible that we just got lucky, but the bed and bedding alone were worth at least twice what we paid. The furnishings and other amenities in our room were awesome as well. The lobby was warm and welcoming and had cookies! We didn't try the 24-hour indoor pool and spa, but it looked very clean.
The bad: The room was on the small side, and the walls were thin! Our neighbors were louder than most but it seemed we were privy to their every move and thought. Still, the pluses here outweighed the thin walls.
The best: They accept pets and did not put us in a rundown "pet" room! Maybe they get it that if someone cares enough about their dog to travel with them, it's a good bet that the dog is well cared for and well behaved.
