Stayed here for the 2nd time over Txgiving 2011. Room was basic, seemed clean but definitely needs some maintenance/updating.
Cons - Bathroom shower rod bent, so shower curtain didn't stay in place = floor got soaked. Mold along edge of bath surround. Toilet paper holder broken = kept coming out of wall. Staff's English less than stellar. Coffee = YUK! Hot Tub = Luke warm. Needed Painting/wall repairs. Swimming pool = ewww, big balls or hair and ?? floating in water. No towels in Pool area. Not enough towels in room. Had to ask repeatedly for more food for bkfast. No Elevator.
Pros - Booked on PL (got room fairly Cheap). Breakfast hearty and had a lot of choices. Nice Elliptical in Fitness Area. Pool open 24 hours. They accept pets (brought our dog). Quiet. Clean sheets daily.
Rooms with Kiing size beds seemed larger, the 2 quees take up quite a bit of space.

Needed a quiet room to get some work done while traveling, got it. The super comfy bed was a big plus. Clean room

Booked this on priceline. The room was comfortable, much what I would expect for the price. Impressive was the front desk. I asked if he knew any local bicycle routes...he did, but maybe I would prefer a local cycling map? He proceeded to give me a map with most excellent routes. Much appreciated and MUCH more willing to help than the manager at another hotel in Bend OR yesterday.

Made reservations 3 months prior to stay. Confirmed reservations 5 days before driving 6 hours. Checking in, Desk Clerk said our credit card was denied. Impossible - now that we are here we can correct the mistake and full fill our reservation. To be told - Inn was full and our room had been taken. Called credit card company immediately. Our credit is in good standing, no record of anyone calling to check on our credit, no record of any calls asking approval of credit card. Credit card company would like to talk with the desk clerk or manager, who was not on site. Talking would make no difference at this time and we had to find a place to stay. The Best Western next door was full but they were more than helpful in finding us other accommodations. Where we used the credit card that La Quinta had denied. Try Best Western next time..
