Well it's an airport hotel. Good if you just want to spend a night before flying in/out of HNL. It's close to the airport and has a free shuttle. The rooms are a bit dated and a little shabby but not too bad. Wired Internet was free, which was nice. It's a little overpriced for what it is but it could have been worse. The staff was friendly.

We needed to overnight at the HNL airport between a late arrival and a morning flight to Kauai. For this, the Ohana serves its purpose, but other than the "aloha" from the efficient front desk staff, there's nothing to distinguish this hotel from a motel just off the offramp in Mobile, AL. If you are looking for a Hawaiian experience, look elsewhere.

The room (and bathroom) was small, basic and dated, but clean. The floor lamp was broken and in pieces, balanced in a corner. The furniture was basic. All in serious need of refurbishment. The restaurant was bleak, though there is a plaza within a 5-minute walk with a few other options.

I don't think the other airport hotels are much better, so if I had another stayover at HNL, I'd consider the Ohana again - it's convenient and offers a free shuttle. Staying elsewhere in Honolulu would require the expense of a shuttle, though you could get a much nicer room for the same price. There are only 3 airport hotels, 2 of which are under the same management, so they have a real lock on the price, which is at least double what you would pay for this level of quality anywhere else.

Treat this simply as a convenient airport location. The rooms are spacious but the "free" internet is limited to ridiculously slow transfer rate. The Google home page took 45 seconds to load. Normal communication - foggedaboutit. The front desk staff are burned out and make you feel unwanted and unwelcome. The airport shuttle took off 5 minutes early, returned 20 minutes later, and almost made us miss our flight.

Needed to stay near the airport for 1 night and found this great property. Free shuttle service to/from airport and great room. Room was clean and the staff are so friendly made you feel very welcome. Thank you for sharing that special "ALOHA" spirit with us during our stay. Will stay again in the future even if we do not need to be near the airport. It's the perfect "In-between" location for Waikiki or Kapolei! Thanks again.
