We Stayed here for 5 NIgHTS, IT WAS JUST GREAT. MELISSA AT RESERVATIONS WAs JUST GREAT. For us a friendly and helpful staff IS JUST AS important AS HAVING A CLEAN ROOM. IN BOTH CASES, SERVICES WERE JUST GREAT. ROOMS ARE CLEAN AND SPACIOUS. fridge AND coffee maker with a micro is a bonus,that all customers need to APPRECIATE. and the newspaper, JUST MAKES YOU FEEL AT HOME. Location is good,the guests' above our room were reckless, and we had quite a bit of a waterfall onto oUR LANAI, However, the MGR.on duty checked it out and promptly returned my call, to let me know they had checked it out..(KEEP IN MIND, THESE THINGS ARE OF NO FAULT OF THE HOTEL, IT IS THE GUESTS' THAT ARE THE IDIOTS)The showers' low presure is something all hotels experience. Continental breakfast is nice,some guest were GRUMBLING about no meat, I said for the best deal in town...this was an added treat...SOME PEOPLE.....
our trip was two fold, first it was for personal business, and then for our staycation. More kamaaina should do staycations.this is the place to stay. we do hope that this hotel and it's staff remain the same as we do plan to come back again. i am already working on our summer plans..much mahalo to all for all your aloha towards us. we will see you again...aloha!

stayed at aston waikiki joy for 9 nights in nov we found it to be a little dated but more than adequate for our needs room was sorted every day and no trouble with the bathroom free breakfast was ok toast and jam cakes muffins and pastries were nice and as much coffee as you could drink all very punctual and on time .we went to oahu to see the island and swim in the sea not spend all day in hotel room with air con on listening to hi fi or watching the telly we can do that at home
the air con worked very well and so did the elevator .eating out can be a nightmare if like me you dont like onions spices garlic or vegetables in general mooses next to hotel was ok but limited menu we found best value at dennys on lewers street the staff at wakiki joy were friendly and helpful only problem we found my wife is a light sleeper and on the 8th floor it still got a bit of noise up from street level my only regret on this holiday is that i should have found out more of how the island system works before i arrived such as most hotels have shops in them and and anyone can go inside any hotel to gain access to the shops therein also there are no private beaches so you can just walk to any hotel on the beach and use their access to the beach a taxi from airport is $35 and beware and check with the lifeguards because if there is a blow it can bring in box jellyfish and portugese man of war jellyfish although we never saw any best time on oahu for us was snorkelling at hanumeah bay with tommys tours all equipment provided and expert guidance we swam with turtles and saw a multitude of colored fish all for $12 dollars each

We stayed here twice during our 9 day stay for our wedding and both nights they upgraded us for free upon check-in. All the staff that helped us were great! The 2 suites we stayed in we're amazing! Lots of space with jacuzzi tubs. They made a great trip even better!

The staff were very friendly and helpful but the rooms!!!!!!!

The room was not clean and there was a smell from the Air Conditioning unit. The mirror behind the bed was covered in marks, the "dressing table" had seen better days and overall the room was "tired". The super JVC/ Bose HiFi did not work properly, and the speakers had been well dented. The bathroom, also dated, did not have a clean look and the shower head had the look of legionella.

We only stayed one night and found alternative accommodation the following day.
