Hotel's Favourite
Hotel was unique, clean, safe, comfortable and in a great location. Our main objective was being by the water. The ocean was just across the street from the hotel, with nothing but the street between. That beach in particular is protected by breakwater, so that water was shallow and calm -- great for families with small children. However, surfing beaches were also available, a 5 minute walk in either direction. Also nice, as part of the resort fee, you can get a free surf board, boogie board, or beach chair loan for the day (other items as well). Sleeping rooms were great. Bathroom is small. Atmosphere was unique and fun.

Aloha stephanie s! Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and the convenience of our location. Waikiki is a very vivid place and while everything within walking distance, we are still on the quiet end directly across from the beach. We are looking forward to welcoming you back in the future. Mahalo and a hui hou - until we meet again.

Advertised amenities were a joke. Hotel was very old and in need of repairs and updates. The refrigerator of all 6 rooms had a very bad smell. The showerhead fell off whenever adjusted, on 4 of the rooms the thermostat did not work the toilet overflowed on one of the rooms upon arrival, the pool is very small and only 4ft deep. The room that slept 4 was very small.

This place is rundown. No real amenities yet they charged me 427 dollars for non existing amenities when I checked in. The breakfast is not included and they charge 56 dollars per person per day. What a joke. No complementary PC in the lobby incase you want to schedule outings that way. The concierge people are a joke, pushing time shares for the Hilton, disgusting. No microwave, guess they really want you to buy that breakfast. The rooms are not very clean, half the channels on t.v. don't work. Sliding glass balcony door had broken handle and hard to open. Coffee maker was a joke. They have no laundry facilities, you have to schedule a pickup and hope you get your clothes back. Too bad, because the hotel in my opinion has a great location, but that's about it.

I’ll start with the only two positives… restaurant was fantastic, sports bar food and service was exceptional. Second, you can’t beat the location, right across the street from Waikiki Beach. Negatives-we arrived around 1030 pm after sitting in airport for 7 hours (flight was cancelled and rebooked). We checked out of our hotel the airline put us up in because it was unacceptable. Upon arriving here, we told the check in lady we would only be there about 10 hours. We asked why we would have to pay for resort fees when it was after 10 pm and we were leaving by 10 am and got rude response. Hotel was very expensive for the room we got. And resort fees were high, $61 and were not able to use any amenities and not by our own choice. We got up fairly early to enjoy the last few hours of our trip and went down to get 2 chairs, the only amenity of the resort fees we would be using on our short stay, and the guy working said they had already given out everything and there was nothing left to rent besides an umbrella. I said what do u mean it’s 8:20 am, hardly no one on the beach!?! He explained to us that there are less than 100 chairs to loan out at this resort and even less if the other items… so we couldn’t even utilize anything from the resort fees which was a joke! Rooms are very rundown as late public spaces. This is a 2-2.5 star at best. Pool is very small and hotel blocks the sun so u will never get a tan at this only pool the hotel has to offer.

Overall, too pricey to recommend, and the resort fee is outlandish. Pros: * Close location to beaches - right across the street * Excellent housekeeping. The default is every other day cleaning, but you can request daily cleaning for no extra fee. * Friendly front desk & front desk was always adequately staffed * Convenient bar/restaurant located on site that had live music every night. Cons: * VERY noisy, from the street, neighbors, bar/restaurant, and nearby construction. We were on the 14th floor, on the same side as the bar/restaurant, with an ocean view. The street noise (cars cruising w/ loud bass, honking, etc.) was very loud until at least 11 PM each night. You could hear the music at the on site bar/restaurant until at least 10 PM. Finally, once that quieted down, you could hear the sliding doors for neighboring rooms at all hours. It all starts up early in the morning. We had coffee on the balcony every morning around 7 AM-8 AM and it was very noisy every day. * The resort fee is outlandish. First, they charge whatever they want, and you don't know what the fee is until you get there - it's not shown on their website. We were charged $55/night, but I overheard other guests being charged $70/night. Second, you get nothing for this fee. Sure, they say you get free rentals at the surf store, but anything of value (snorkel, surf board) costs extra. Everything else "free" with the resort fee are amenities most hotels would include for no charge. * The key cards don't work for the elevator a good portion of the time. I think we had to go back to the desk 4 times to get new keys. The keys usually worked with the room, but wouldn't work for the elevator, and you had to use your key to go up beyond floors 1 and 3. * Rooms are quite outdated. Furniture is old & has knicks, paint chipping, etc. Bathroom is very small and grimy. Carpet is not great. Particular to our experience, your results may vary: * Our room smelled bad, like mold/mildew. * We were missing a shower curtain (only one plastic curtain, not both), so the shower leaked onto the floor during every shower. * Our toilet leaked water on the floor.

second year staying at Twin Finn, service and amenities were amazing. Access to beach can't be beat, just pickup your chairs and umbrella from beach candy down stairs and walk across the street and your on the beach. Trolly bus stops out front, recommend getting 7 day pass, good for 10 days, lots to see and drivers are a wealth of information and humor. If looking to stay on beach front look this up.

First - My room was on the end facing inland so I was worried about the view but WOW! Outside my door was the perfect view of Diamond Head. On the balcony it was mainly the interior / city but could see some beach to the side. Maybe they're slowly remodeling the rooms but the room I had was in need of some love - paint pealing, bathroom was outdated, and all though my door closed/locked, there was a good gap at the bottom that I could hear everything outside / air flowed in which I'm sure was counterproductive to the A/C unit. However, I'm not going to Hawaii to spend time in my hotel room so it didn't bother me that much. What was the biggest pain was the elevators! There was always a line and if you didn't hit the number correctly you'd get to the wrong floor or if the elevator number capacity was 'full' you'd jump on and then either try to get an elevator from there or just go up the stairs. Being on the 22nd floor, that was always a risk for the stairs. Overall, it was okay. The bed was comfy, the view of Diamond Head was amazing, and it was easy access to Waikiki.

Amazing experience. The hotel is literary right across the street from Kuhio Beach. Breakfast on the 21st floor patio over looking the beach was delicious and the view was breathtaking. Allison Park and Monica R are Rockstars and set our volleyball club up with an amazing group rate and amazing rooms. Highly recommend this hotel and if you have a big group reach out to the highly responsive and accommodating Allison and Monica. Planning to come back to the Twin Fin this summer with the Family.

This place was touted as having been recently acquired and remodeled. Not true. Rooms are ancient. Rotting walls Refrigerator stinks and is missing a leg. Everything here is an extra charge. No clear communication as to how to use the beach privileges or where you get your chairs etc. everything is done half assed They have a coconut club which is on the 21st floor. Which is our floor and as I read it it should be included in our stay. It is literally a continental breakfast at 55 per day per room. Ouch for a piece of toast or a muffin. So not a great experience so far. Only 2 days in and glad we are changing hotels on Saturday
