Overall, this hotel is inclusive and cost-effective! Best perks are the free internet, easy access to the airport AND food, usage of "guest computer" in the lobby, AND ROSE- at the front desk (if you're lucky!), who made my stay much more enjoyable!!!

The hotel provides a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. However, you need to call for it. And even after you call for it, it can take them 45 minutes to come pick you up, even though it's just a 5 minute drive away.

The entrance doesn't look promising. The rooms are okay, but there was a couple fighting next door and the hotel security was trying to handle it. Even after the door was shut, I could still hear the couple shouting at each other.

The hotel felt dated.

Breakfast was slowly prepared. And rather oily for a standard American style breakfast.

You can use their computer to print out boarding passes, but you have to do it standing up.

Saving grace is that the front desk staff are really nice and helpful. And they have thoughtful things like a list of buses that you can take to Waikiki. But beware, the wait for the buses can be long and the ride can take 1-1.5 hours into the city.

In summary, this hotel is exactly what you expect at the price point for an airport Best Western hotel. We arrived at Honolulu airport in the very late afternoon, with an early morning departure the next morning (leaving hotel around 5:00am).

This hotel is perfectly fine for a relatively inexpensive place to catch a few hours' sleep, very close to the airport with fast shuttle connections. It is difficult to find the location at the airport where the shuttle picks up hotel guests (this is due to the shoddy state of the airport - not the hotel's fault - when I called the hotel they explained exactly where to wait). Shuttle service from hotel to airport is excellent (and clearly marked!), and I should add the shuttle drivers were very friendly/helpful.

Hotel check-in was very efficient, rooms are as advertised; rooms perfectly clean but very dated (not a flat screen tv, etc). There seemed only to be wifi in the hotel lobby (which was free, but inconvenient when you just want to check email). The hotel staff were all very friendly at all times.

Hotel tip: there is a plaza literally about 3 minutes' walk that includes a Starbucks and a take-out sushi restaurant (when you exit the hotel, turn left (heading west), then take the first left (at Byron's restaurant); as you walk down this street, this plaza is on the other side of the road.

This hotel is great for the transit person waiting for a flight going out the next day or a lay over for a cruise or something like that. Close to the airport with a van that runs on the half hour 24 hours a day. Not close to any visitor intrests nor areas for eating or entertainment with out getting a cab or a van ride. Clean but obviously well used.
