“You can't go wrong here!”

Our family was here for three nights at Christmas and this hotel was fantastic! The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is wonderful and the seating area is perfect - "outside" yet sheltered on three sides. The manager's reception every evening was a great way to mingle with other guests. The beach is a very short walk away, though you really can't see it because other high rises block the view. The suites were perfect for a family of four. The only down-side was that our rooms faced that livelier of the streets that surround the hotel and things got loud at bar time. Otherwise, highly recommended!

“Embassy Suites Fan”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

Had 2 days in Honolulu before we boarded for our cruise. All hotels near the beach are expensive, but from what I hear from others is that none have free breakfast. It was great. Full buffet, omlette station, fresh fruit, I could go on & on. Very good.

Also from 5:30 to 7:30 is the managers reception. As you may know from another Embassy review my husband likes his beer. 2 types on tap & oh the MaiTais. Had a great band with a beautiful Hawaiin dancer. Very nice evenings.

Hate to say I wasn't too pleased with our room. We were on the first floor of 15. Would have liked something with more of a view.

Their consier was great helping us to get on a great tour of the island,
Also it's about 1/2 block from the beach, and in a great area with lots of shops & restaurants.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the higher floors

“fantastic for families”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Traveled with wife, 8 month baby and parents. Double beds comfy. Bathrooms spacious. kitchenette includes microwave, sink and fridge. Balconies small. Not much of view from our room. Fantastic service. Very nice breakfast (included). Happy hour daily (free well drinks). Nice valet service for $30/day. Nice pool (windy). Has Yardhouse downstairs. Subway 1 minute walk. 2 minute walk to beach. Nice newly updated street with high end stores. Driving can be difficult but this great location provides nice access to most of what you need in Waikiki. Would highly recommend this for families.

“Loved It!”

We stayed at the Embassy Suites Waikiki for ten days on our way moving off the island. We had such a great experience!

First, I wasn't happy with the original room we were given and they happily moved us to another that same day. Our bell hops were all so friendly, too. The whole hotel was clean and comfortable and fairly quiet for the location. Our room was a good size and the king bed was so comfortable.

We thought the free breakfast was fantasic and the managers reception was wonderful, especially when the band played. The pool was warm and the hot tub even better.

We were not disappointed in our stay and were sorry to leave!

“Lovely Hotel”

Clean, comfortable, well-appointed suites. This is a great hotel! The beds are comfy, the water pressure in the shower is good, even the soap products -- Crabtree & Evelyn -- are top-drawer.

Breakfast is plentiful and well organized. There are two omelette stations, with three burners at each, so never a particularly long wait for food. The manager's reception is a nice way to end the day -- but not as good as in other Embassy Suites we've stayed at:
1) Snacks are nothing more than chips, salsa, and Chex mix or peanuts.
2) The mixed drinks weren't up to par. The bartender is generous with liquor but something -- mixes, juices (?) -- wasn't quite right. If you stick to beer or white wine -- not red! -- you'll be okay.

As with other hotels in the area, parking is expensive -- $30 per day -- with valet service only. (Think twice whether you even need to rent a car; after the fact we realized it wasn't worth it.)
