Excellent location, staff really knows the area and what to suggest based on what you'd like to do. This is a "youth" hostel (be young at heart) so there are 'dorm' accommodations as well as more private rooms, but all share bath with some group. Group kitchen available and sometimes group meals served for nominal charge. Group activities for small charge also organized. Free to borrow lots of beach supplies (mat, chair, snorkle, float, etc.) and cheap towel rental/exchange ($1 for stay). Linens supplied for room.
No A/C but fans and balmy Waikiki weather, but some outside noise of city area. WAY better than a competing hostel down the block, and much better clientel.
Great way to meet other travelers from all over the world.

I loved this place. The staff are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere encourages meeting fellow solo travelers. They arrange trips to other parts of the island, parties and dinners where everyone can get together. I'll be going back again!

I arrive they took me in and I had a great time hanging out with the other roommates. When I go to pay for another day so I can have some more time to figure things out, they tell me I can't stay there...so I find a place to stay, but he couldn't pick me up till 4 pm. They wouldn't even let me keep my bags there for a few hours, they literally threw me out. Go to the Waikiki Beachside Hostel they are much nicer there.
