“This is the worst hotel even seen”

This is the worst hotel I have even seen. When I check out in the early morning like 4am, they didn't return me the $100 cash deposit. The reason given was that it's too early and nobody check the room. They said they would mail me a check after. However, 2 month past, I called them many many times and still not received the money back.
They are just a bunch of cheaters. Don't go there if you have any other options.

“Budget hotel w/ kitchenette in good location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

as true w/ many lower priced places it has it's faults, it's old and shows the wear, but we liked it. location great. we stayed on 7th floor and had great view of city towards the water. really pretty at night but hot sun all day. the front desk was helpful when we asked anything. the open and small common areas were nice and I thought a good feeling when you first walked into the hotel. the kitchenette is very basic tho. coffee maker. 4 of plates, cups, glasses, forks, knives spoons, pans. nothing else. no toaster, etc it is noisy but w/ a/c on we were never bothered at night. our room was clean and comfy. small shower did have temp issues. internet problems. $8 /day, better rates for longer. Ipad esp. we can give up some luxury to save money for other things or a longer stay. they did cancel the free breakfast. secure. lock gates at 10. pool and laundry good.

“Really good for people around 16-25 years old”

Low cost, near the main streets, near the beach without the croud of the city.
The chance to have a little kitchen in the room that permits economy on food!
Anyway, even if it is not the best hotel, why do you go to Hawaii to stay in the hotel? You are in Hawaii to visit and only go at the hotel to sleep. You don't need more. Affordable price!

Hint: DO NOT EAT AT THE BUFFET AT THE HOTEL, LOOKS DISGUSTING, but the little thai restaurant near the hotel offer really good food!

** Really near the hotel, there is a bus station that can carry you everywhere on the island. (Corner of Lewers street and Kuhio Avenue)

Room Tip: Select room on corner. It cost the same thing as normal room, but they are bigger and offer more win...

“Booked 12 nights but only stayed one night!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

We booked a two bedroom suite for myself, my husband, our toddler, an infant and my parents. We got to the room and were surprised by how small the suite was! It was clean but carpet was old and filthy and the sheets were stained. The bathroom was very old, shower scary and the kitchen was very old. We requested a crib and got a filthy folding playpen that we refused to use. The air conditioners were so loud and rattly that we had to turn them off to sleep. There was no space to put our luggage and it felt very cramped. The free breakfast was mini danishes and that was it! The key cards didn't work well. We wanted to stay in a hotel with a kitchen since we have 2 children and one with severe allergies but this hotel was not worth the stay. We ended up finding another hotel to stay at and paid double the price but it was worth it as I don't think we would've enjoyed are stay if we had to stay here. This may be a good place for young people who just want a place to sleep and shower but not ideal at all for families! They should really just year this place down and rebuild!

“Definitely better options”

Myself and 3 family members stayed at this hotel for 8 days. While we were there we encountered numerous issues, so much so that we avoided spending time at our hotel. The only time we would go back there was to sleep. Our bathroom had a sewerage problem and even though we reported it 3 times to the front desk, nothing was done about it. The smell was so bad that we had to cover the drains to prevent the smell from rising up out of them. We also had no hot water in both rooms and it took 2 complaints before someone came and looked at it. When i purchased wifi from the hotel (which wasnt cheap!) it would not work on my ipad. I was told by front desk to call technical support. I was also told if i called technical support from my room i would be charged for it. After two days of constantly asking for help, i finally sorted it out myself and realised that it was the hotels connectivity that was the problem. Their signal stregth is not strong enough and constantly drops out. Breakfast which is complimentary is minimal and if you dont get there by 7am you miss out on the stale pastries which are on offer. The rooms were not clean, and our bed covers had cigarette burns in them. Also one morning when our sheets were changed they were replaced with stained sheets. Finally there is a brothel right next door and that means many ladies of the night are in and around that area. Certainly would not stay here again.
