Stayed here just one night and was quite impressed. It was clean, cheap and a decent location. There was no breakfast but that didn't matter so much as there were many restaurants and ABC stores around.

Staff were friendly, nice spa and pool.

Overall if i was back and found a cheap rate I would stay again as I had no problems.

hard bed, small room, flat pillows had to get 2 more, well worn linen, clean, amazing view of the beach, just an nice walk to get to the beach, staff friendly, we arrrived in the morning and could not get into our room till 3pm which was a bit much, after flying all night!

We were on a bit of a tight budget and this place was great. It was a 10 minute walk from the beach, which meant it was close enough to walk but far enough away that the nosie overnight was much nicer than the closer hotels, especially since we had a room on the canal side overlooking the canal and mountains.

The rooms were fairly small but comfortable and clean. Admittedly the place is a bit worn out - the TV was old and sometimes needed encouragement to work, the decor could have done with a bit of updating, and my bedspread had a tear in it. However, these were just aesthetic things - everything was clean and neatly presented and the service was great.

The front desk and housekeeping staff were excellent and always polite and helpful. However if you have a go-oahu card don't count on the person behind the tourist desk to help you... we suspect they are on commission, so they really didn't bother to put any effort into helping us with our questions about transport etc.

Overall, older and a bit worn out, but clean and had everything you needed, including pool and spa. Much cheaper than everything else around. and if I was going back I would definitely consider staying there again.

We stayed at the Maile for three nights. We were traveling with 5 small kids and were trying to keep the price low. The rooms were quite small and the double bed option was only available with two twins, no queens. The rooms were nothing fancy, as expected, but they were clean and comfortable. Hotel staff seemed very friendly and was willing to accomodate our requests for extra bedding supplies for the kids. There was a $18/day charge for parking. Free wireless in the lobby, but a fee was charged for a cable connection in the room. The hotel is only a short walk from shopping, the beach, and multiple restaurants. Overall, not a romantic destination for couples, but very well suited for those on a tight budget who want a decent place to sleep.
