This place is average. For close to the same money, first check for availability in the nicer places in Downtown Newport. Two complaints with this place:
1) If you book through a site like Travelocity, they treat you like a red headed step child.
2) I wasted money booking a "Deluxe" room only to find out that deluxe at best western means microwave and mini fridge in room.

Hotel is right next to highway.

This Best Western is a couple of miles from downtown Newport. It has its own restaurant and an outside pool. Very clean with large rooms. I would definitely stay here again.

The 4th floor suites are so much better than the downstairs rooms it is worth getting a deal. The restaurant is operated separately from the hotel so you can't charge the meals but that is a minor inconvenience. Good value and a really helpful and pleasant team on reception (or front desk for North Americans!).

This is a typical Best Western hotel, although larger than some and a little less personal as a result. We had no significant issues - the room was nice, check-in adequate and everywhere reasonably clean.
It's not exciting, but handy for visiting Newport (it's straightforward to walk into town if you have some sort of map).
Newport itself is very nice and well worth a visit.
