“Wonderful time at Pearls!”

We stayed at Pearl's December 26-28, 2011. It was our first visit. We loved it!! Ray the owner was fantastic. He gave us a million recommendations to restaurants and area sites to see. He was more than accomodating to our every whim. The room we stayed in was Suite 7. It was on the second floor. You enter into a living room with two large sofas, a sitting chair, dresser with flat screen tv and a fireplace. You walk down a long hallway to the sep. bedroom and very large bathroom. Our room was perfect!! Pearl's is only two blocks or so to the harbor so you are well within walking distance to many good restaurants, shops, bars and entertainment. You are also about a 5 minute drive to the mansions if you wish to tour them. I would highly recommend that you do they are amazing. The grounds at Pearl's were awesome! Four houses on the property share a HUGE courtyard which is awesome in the summer we can't to go back in the summer. Also, Ray cooked us breakfast and brought up delicious coffee and bagels to our room for us on our last day. We loved every second we spent at Pearl's and would recommend to anyone! Newport is incredible but Ray made it special for us and it is now a new getaway from the husle and bustle of Boston!

“FANTASTIC!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2011

The level of service was the best I've ever seen. This is one of Newport's secret retreats that I will continue to use for busienss and personal trips.

Room Tip: Room 8 in 199 Spring Street. They have more than one building.

Great place to stay! Great servi e with amazing service and gourmet breakfasts! Loved how unique the rooms and buildings were and how personable and friendly the staff were! Would definitely stay there again! Walking distance from downtown Newport and the owner was really helpful in recommending things to do and see!! Cant't wait to go back!

“Wedding Weekend <3”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

When we arrived we were greeted by Peter, who was very friendly and very helpful. Then we met Ray, who was just the same. We arrived on Thursday, and were married in the beautiful lobby of the 41 Pelham Street hotel on Friday. Ray and Peter were our witnesses, and Peter took our only pictures for us, which turned out great. We had a beautiful private ceremony, followed by a champagne toast. We loved our room, it's perfect with what's in it, and what's not (the common bed and breakfast victorian rose patterns on the walls and bed...not our taste). Breakfasts were amazing. Friday morning Ray made us an incredible omelet, yogurt parfait, fresh orange juice, and french pressed coffee. The next morning we had strawberry french toast made by the chef, then Sunday morning (our last breakfast) we had a Pearls personalized eggs benedict, both still with the oj and coffee, soooo good!!!
I do a lot of research before doing anything, and honestly, I was nervous about Pearls because of some of the bad reviews, but they held no merit to our experience. I don't regret at all booking and staying at Pearls, or dealing with Ray, our stay was fantastic, and Ray went above and beyond to make our special weekend extra special. We had complimentary wine, cheese tray (with enough delicious bread, fruit, cheese, and pepperoni for a meal), and champagne.
Ray, Peter, and Michael were such a pleasure, our room was great, we had total privacy unless we wanted it, then someone was there happy to help. We're absolutely going back to gorgeous Newport, and our perfect place, Pearls.

Room Tip: Suite 8 is a large, beautiful bridal suite

“Pearls - a must”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

On a resent trip to Newport, my wife and I had the pleasure of staying @ Pearls boutique hotels. We found our 2 day stay most enjoyable and most relaxing, to say the least. The proprietor, Ray, and his staff halped to make the visit most memorable. A stones throw from the shops and a wonderful homemade breakfast - Heaven. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Ray - Thanks
