The Wellington is the perfect location when staying in Newport. Far enough from downtown to be quiet even during the busiest season and close enough to walk to restaurants and shopping. Staff is courteous, helpful and check-in and check-out is smooth and easy. We are owners of a timeshare at The Wellington. Only once in all our years of ownership have we banked our week and traded it for a timeshare somewhere else. The property and units are very well maintained & updated as needed. Considering that this timeshare resort is right on the water and subject to extreme weather conditions it is in amazingly excellent condition.

Perfect location for staying in Newport. Sunset views over the harbor....walking distance for restaurants and shopping. Exchanged visit through RCI...check-in was fast and courteous. Staff suggestions were very appropriate. One problem with a television was quickly resolved. Condo itself was huge and clean. Only drawback was no stove in the unit. Thank you for a wonderful first time visit to Newport. I will definately be back!

The property was very old. We were only there for the night, got in late and left by 9:00 A.M. It is a timeshare property. If you are thinking about staying in a hotel, this is not it. The first room we were sent to we could not get in. There was a screaming baby in an adjoining suite, the person would not unlock the door to the room we were to be staying in. The airconditioning was not on in the hall. The staff took about 20 minutes to rectify the matter and we ended up in a totally different building (yay). The next morning we had to strip the bedding, put all linen and towels onto the floor of the bathroom before we left. Not to our standards. We paid too much for this experience.

Beautiful condos right on the harbor. It has a little wear but is being updated. The location is perfect with easy walking to shopping and restaurants. We rented through VRBO and were not disappointed. Nice swimming pool and exercise facility. Would be wonderful for a family as we felt we had almost too much space.
