on a recent visit to the Almondy Inn, i can report that i enjoyed myself once again in this upscale and lovely B&B. The owners are a very pleasant and lovely couple who try to make your stay enjoyable in every way, from the linens, to the breakfast and the wine and cheese evening gathering, it is always a pleasant and relaxing visit. Its central location, proximity and walking distance to shopping and restaurants make it one of the best in Newport. I will return again.

My husband and I recently stayed at The Almondy Inn the weekend of December 16th-18th and it was our first time in Newport as well as our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast. We didn't know what to expect. Staying here made it so we never want to stay at a hotel again. This place was absoltely gorgeous and it's in a great location. Perfect for walking around the town. The room we stayed in was the Sunset Room, and we had a great view of the water from our window. There are 4 other rooms and you couldn't even tell there were other people staying there. This room was the smallest I believe and it wasn't small at all. Everything was extremely clean. The best part was waking up in the morning and smelling breakfast. Evelyn who was the innkeeper is an excellent cook and extremely nice. Food was great, and she really took the time to tell us all of her favorite places to eat and where to go. We plan on returning in the summer and we will be staying at the Almondy Inn.

My wife and I spent the weekend of December 16-18 in Newport. We were looking for a break from the hectic holiday activities. Staying at Almondy Inn was the perfect choice. The room was spacious, clean with a fireplace and sitting area. The best thing about the stay was Evelyn, one of the owners, who makes the place feel like a home away from home. She was engaging, pleasant and a great cook. The full breakfasts were superb. The other guests were an interesting group which made for lots of conversation when we all returned from a day of touring and feasted on the late afternoon wine and cheese. What a great find.

Once more had an excellent experience at the Almondy Inn. Apart from the very central location and beautifully decorated rooms, hosts Evelyn and Herber both have the quality to make you feel at home. With their personal attention and little extras here and there, they create a warm, cosy atmosphere. All in all, the Inn feels like a 'home away from home'. I certainly hope to return there again!
